Hi all,
I have just purchased a 2011 Ibis white S3 Black Edition DSG/S-Tronic.
I am coming from a long list of performance BMWs (335i, 330D, M3, 135i etc).
I must admit off the bat, I was very skeptical of the S3, a whole lot of power through an essentialy FWD car until things get too much to handle and the back steps in.
I was worried it would feel like my previous Stage 2 MK5 GTi, lots of torque steer and no handling ability whatsoever!
How wrong I was, these cars are truly phenomenal in how they handle the power, I have had the car for 2 days now so am still learning its boundaries, but I am already hitting corners down my lanes as quick as I was in my 135i with no drama at all.
The clever Haldex 4wd, coupled with the S-Tronic box, Michelin Pilot Supersports fitted and the recent tracking make the car truly amazing to drive!
