312mm brake upgrade rusty disc

I did the brake upgrade about two months ago but I've noticed there is a rust ring round the disk right near the hub when I did it I changed the disc and new pads what could the issue be cheers

Looks normal to me presuming the car doesn't get used much, heavy breaking should sort allot of it, have a feeling if you replace you'll get the same.
 
Sorry mate I am talking about the rust on the breaking surface
 
I am thinking the pads just need bedding in too mate
 
I had brand new discs like this. This happens if you don't drive the car too much.
It all went away after first use.

Salt on the roads this time of year doesn't help rust on brake discs. only doing 10 miles a week is not enough to keep it rust free, especially if it's not parked in a garage.
 
But to me it's like where that ring of rust is the pad isn't catching it
 
That's normal.
Pads are usually a tinny bit smaller. That's why the discs get the lip when needs to be changed.

I think your probably right there mate didn't know if it was something to do with the sliding pins
 
Next time you need to change disc buy the ones with painted edges.
I'm using them now and haven't seen a spot of rust yet...
