i have no clue about electrics.
The 12v battery on my mower has gone flat in the cold weather.
Need help regarding what charger to get as there seems like so many options and I don't know my Amps from my elbow.
One bit in he manual says charge it at between 6 - 10 Amps but another it says between 0.8 and 10 Amps.
@jassyo06 mate, anything you can help with being a spark?

I use a CTEK MXS 5.0 - good unit with plenty of options for charging or keeping your battery topped-up if you don't use your car for long periods.

Thanks for responding @leshkin
I'll have a look at that model of charger.
It's initially for the ride on lower but obviously it's there for the cars too if I need it going forward.

I've been using the Ring smart chargers for a while now...

They have maintenance (trickly charge) and recovery modes for batterys that are not regularly used... They also can cope with a range of battery types, Gel ,etc..

Amazon the best price wise unless you get a january sale bargain...

Thanks mate.
Does any charger work as long as it's for a 12V battery?
The machine has a socket for a CTEK charger but I assume I can charge straight onto the battery too.

Yes, any charger should work, it’s all the same battery technology however if it’s got a CTEK charging point, i’d Go with the CTEK option, that way you don’t have to mess about with connecting to the battery directly...

If you get a charger with a lower charging current, it will still charge your battery - it will just take longer...
