Tow bar electrics

Hi all, I'm about to fit a tow bar fro Tow Trust to my 2010 A3 1.4 tfsi sportback.
I'll be using a custom wireing kit fro ECS-Electronics, which states in the instructions "codeing is required".
I can only presume this would be to turn off the reversing sensors when towing......
Can anyone shed any light? And the code.........
Any tips/advice greatfuly received.
 
The sensors may beep when reversing, doesnNt always happen, my previous A3 wasn'affected. Just wire it up and see what happens. If it does beep all the time when reversing will it bother you the odd time when a trailer is connected ?

Make sure you buy a detachable bar your ankles will thank you for it.
 
Thanks for the replies.....yes detachable... learnt that the hard way......and just a box trailer.
Got an Obdeleven so keen to do the codeing.
