Has any one had their 190 Tdi remapped yet?
If so who buy and how does it compare to the standard map Audi run?

TIA

I could be wrong but I don’t think that the ECU has been decrypted/unlocked yet for remapping but I could be wrong. I’m currently running a DTUK box and it’s pretty close to a remap but will obviously never be quite as good.

I take it you have the same vehicle?
How does the DTUK box feel compared to standard, as this might be a good hallway house to make sure of the warranty that I still have?
Any idea of the torque figures ?
And how hard was it to plug in ?

I’ve got an S4 but also had one on my B8.5 3.0tdi and it’s been really noticeable on both. I got mine in a similar mind of a halfway house before remapping as well.

Torque figures are as per the screenshot below, pretty decent gains. To be honest, how hard it is to install depends where the sensors are located but I think the 3.0 was about as difficult as it gets and that was only about 10 minutes. Most of the time is actually taken up just trying to tidy up the wiring.

I think ive found my answer for the time being..Thanks Daggerit

My pleasure. Andrew who owns the company is really good for communication too. Make sure you say you’re on the forum because sometimes he’s able to offer discounts.

I’ve tried the DTUK box on my 190 tdi and.....WOW! It is VERY impressive! Makes it equally if not slightly faster than the 3.0TDI! There is a few threads on here with regards it if you search it.

Would DTUK or Revo invalidate any warranties?

To anything related to increasing the power output such as transmission, engine, driveshafts, etc. it would invalidate warranty.

The perk of the DTUK box is that you can remove it pretty quickly and easily so you can take the car in for warranty work. Unless they dig really deep into the ECU they won't be able to tell it was fitted but the remaps trigger codes to appear that alert them more obviously.

I’m going the DTUK route after Christmas rather than remap due to ease of removal

?
Removal of a obd applied remap is easier as it involves tapping a keyboard.

Except it leaves a marker that voids warranty on related components where the DTUK box doesn’t.

TB1's have never once been reported by anyone who has had tuning boxes fitted, including myself. If you wish to query this ask Andrew if DTUK who is extremely knowledgeable of his product.

So VAG ODIS categorically can not detect DTUK ?

I don't know for a fact but I've heard that they have to dig into the record for mass air flow and things so they can prove it wasn't running standard. I imagine a lot of the stuff wouldn't register since it's downstream of the ECU for the actual modification of the signal, but EGTs or something that the box doesn't plug into may show evidence of it being there. Just a guess.

All that said, it would also depend on how long (or if) the ECU actually logs things for. If it only like 10 miles or 30 minutes worth of logging then it's likely all the information would be wiped by the time you got to your Audi dealer anyway. If it's a month worth then it might be different. Again, they'd really have to be looking for it.

I agree it will be extremely difficult for a dealership techie to detect within the ECU, of course there might be physical signs a box had been fitted. A TB1 is, after all, a dealership code for when they suspect a box might have been used and not generated by any software.
I am sure if they suspected anything amiss they could send the ecu map back to base where they can go through the coding to see any changes. But they'd have to suspect it first. Again I haven't heard of this happening with a tuning box.
