no theres no need for shortened droplinks on a b5. Not really possible to shorten them anyway due to the design.
 
I’m hoping and pretty certain Santa has got me some, so in jan if I can get down my mates garage and borrow a ramp I’ll have them on. But I’m thinking I might get some wheel spacers for my 17s until I get new wheels. And some new poly bushes and so on before I do it. Did you say you have some? Already to put on? I think I’ll go for a 60mm drop and see how that goes although I think that’s all the set allows for 30-60mm otherwise I’d go lower.
 
Lol I am the same I hope Santa has got a forge dump valve in he's sack your lucky to know someone with a decent garage I have a garage in a block it's tiny can work on the car outside but it's not great on a massive hill
 
Lower than 60mm I like your thinking this is my old mk3 slammed loved it

Tell me about it, it’s my other half’s sisters fella. Started up the garage himself a couple of years ago and I’ve always been fortunate enough to do my own work there and in return I’ll help him on some customer cars or bung him some cash for loan of the ramp.
It was a struggle to convince my missis to get me suspension cos she thought it was a rubbish present! Women just don’t understand lol.

Very nice mate I used to have a mk3 I had a 16 v gti. Just wish I had a pic of it. I do miss it.
 
Lol love it my wife is. The same why do you need new suspension it already has suspension why do you need a bigger turbo it has a turbo

Totally with you on that! I need those six numbers! Trouble is I could easily spend a couple of mill on cars :racer:

Cool I think going to roll my arches my 18s are 8.5 j and want a bit of tuckon the back
 
I’m no good with wheels I want some 18s but I want them as tight to outside of wheel well as poss but no idea whatoffset i would need to do it.
 
To be honest I wouldn't go any wider than 8.5 unless your going to do arch work
 
Lol oh yes tomorrow fitting wind deflectors and the new plastic mouldings at the bottom of the doors the ones on there are a mess
 
I know the ones you mean mate lol mine look like there coming away in the middle of the doors, but at each end they look fine haha yeah think I should get some new ones. Where did Santa get them from? Is there a link you can send me? Have you had wind deflectors before? I’ve been told they can create more wind than before?
 
Oh yeah sorry helps if I answer the question lol I’m going to fit them probably in feb or March, I know that’s a long way off but I need to get a few bits first like bushes.
 
Yes mate had them before didn't notice the wind noise the trim are from eBay mate
 
Looks good mate it’s amazing how a small bit of trim being tidied can make a difference. How were the bottom of your doors when you took trims off?
 
Fine mate no rust which was good behind them the dirt was terrible
 
Hi guys sorry to hijack your thread just need a bit of advice. 05 b7 avant 2.0tdi se looking at lowering springs can’t decide between sport lines or pro’s. I have 18 inch b5 rs4 wheels I don’t want it on the deck just want it to sit above the tyre and do I use b5 perches as I keep getting mixed answers from most of the threads I see as most of the posts are for S-Line suspension any help would be great thanks

Hi Nick, yes you can use b5 perches it will lowers the car a little more by using them only a little though.
 
Not yet mate I’m doing it 16th feb, will put up some pics when I’ve done it. What about yourself?
 
No mate great British weather not helping plus busy at work
 
It’s a nightmare our ****** weather lol. I’m looking forward to getting mine sorted then I’ll get some wheel spacers until I can get some new rims.
