I bought the car in April and aside from a dud B&O amp the rest of the car appeared to all work as it should.

I assumed the heated mirrors only worked when the outside temp was low enough until I saw error codes for it. The stereo decided to glitch a couple of weeks ago, but fix itself halfway through a 2hr drive home. The power tailgate sometimes decided not to shut first go, but that feels like it works ok now. Usually associated with the wind. The passenger door has decided not to open with the rest of them resulting in me having to lean over to open it for the mrs lol.

Can any of you experienced lot shed any light on any easy (or hard) fixes on this lot please?

If you're getting a succession of random electrical gremlins, could it be a sign of a tired battery?

As above. If you are getting the error

CAN network gateway
Part #: 8T0907468K
Coding: 000303 (hex)
Component: GW-BEM 4CAN-M
Fault codes:
03041 Energy Management Active

Then this would indicate your battery level is low. You could always activate the hidden green screen menu with Carista and then add battery level display to your MMi and it will tell you the current battery level. I recently had a look at @Russboy S4 and he had the same energy management error and his coming home lights wouldn't work.

I have it (battery level) enabled yes. It does kinda struggle to start if it's been left for a while...

My coming home lights work perfectly though.

I all to commonly have my foot on the clutch when I press the start button so it starts straight away. I'll turn the ignition on in the morning without starting the engine and see what level the battery is at before cranking. cheers.

do I have to code a new battery in?

found this thread. http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/03041-energy-management-active.286106/

"Energy Management Active means the car is turning systems off in the hope enough power will be available to crank the engine."

You do not have to code in the battery, it’s not a must! The car will self-learn overtime that a new battery is there and adjust everything accordingly. The code helps speed up the process.

I got a new battery on Monday and it seems to start a bit better now. I loaned someone my carista dongle so can't rescan just yet.

Can I ask what battery got & what was the cost? Thanks.

I got the OEM one from TPS. £150+vat

cheaper than euro or GSF had listed on their websites and TPS delivered too.

Cheers all. Brother in law works in a local car spares place & gets me items just above cost, but wondered what kind of £££ I was in for.

Mine is sometimes as low as 10%, rarely gets as high as 40%

I had a battery issue on my B8 Avant. Turned out to be water dripping into my B&O amp through the cooling fan. My amp would intermittently go off with a pop, and then come back on after a while.

my amp was dud when I bought the car so I had to have that repaired.

I had previously cleared the codes and still have it. I'll clear them again now I have a new battery fitted.

Hello guys. I am new here. I have an Audi a4 avant 2008. Have the same error code 00003 Infotainment -DSP (sound system) control unit, if I dont use my car for about 3-4 days battery runs flat. The previous owner told me that he repaired the B&O Amp, it works now.I got a new battery, same problem. Does any of you have any tip, do i have this error because of that fault? It is possible that my Amp to drain the battery?Where the fault could be? I'll apreciate your help
