Hi all, I’m looking for a cost aleffective way of adding either an input from my iPhone, or DAB into my A6.

Or if possible both. I’ve looked at the guides that show replacing the CD player with another piece of kit that allows an input from the phone or iPod. ( the name escapes me!)

But it’s too costly for me at present.

Are there any other options available?

I’m abit sick of having headphones in.

It would allow me to listen to Podcasts, as well as music from my phone.

I have searched, but struggled to find anything. (Other than lots of posts from IPhone Tapatalk)

Cheers Tom

I've got factory kenwood dab in my pre-facelift SLINE. Should be easy enough to retrofit and put aftermarket aerial on I'd presume.

I looked into that and agree it was pricey so just bought a Tecknet Bluetooth FM Transmitter, music, podcasts, YouTube etc all plays fine.

What year is your a6 Le mans? Which mmi version do you have? Is your sat nav disc or hard drive? You only need the ami unit if your car is mmi 2g, if you have mmi 3g you can retrofit a lead to your cd player, and then use a viseoo tune2air, that's what I did and I can stream anything from my phone via Bluetooth

I use a pure highway 600.it powers off the ciggie lighter and a thin aerial to attach to the window (I put behind sun visor for a neat finish).reception up till now has really good.Bluetooth and phone use works well. £100 from Halford' well happy

I have almost finished fitting my alpine ezi-dab, gives pretty good dab signal, drops out from time to time for a second or so, but that may be down to me fitting the aerial in the rear side window of my Avant. It gives you an aux in and usb for charging and music from iPod/iPhone or other usb devices, I really like it and the alpine controller and display looks almost factory in the Audi
I’m thinking of doing a write up of the mod when I’m finished if anyone is interested?

Dension BT 500 is your answer. Feel like a Dension salesman. Haven’t been on for ages and then the first two threads I read are both about adding BT functionality

I've got a Denison. The sound is pretty good and you can control iPod via MMI
