Apologies - I have searched but all the old links are dead.
I have a 2005 non bose bog standard concert stereo and I'd to fit my old favourite sony head unit. Could anyone help me out with what Iso cables / adapters I will need to get it and all the speakers working correctly?
Many thanks

I'm not sure which connector your car would use as you're at the cut-over year between the ISO connectors and Quadlock, so you might be best to take the OEM headunit out first just to confirm what connector you have. Then you need to confirm if you have steering wheel controls as the adapters will be different based on that. Yo ualso need to know if you have rear amplified speakers or not as that also is important.

Once you know the answers to all of the above, head over to http://www.connects2.co.uk/products/accessories/active-system-adapters/vehicle/Audi/A3 and look for the appropriate adapter.

Thank you. Typically I'm right on the cusp of changeover, I know from experience my door locks are the later type.
Is there any definite way of telling if the rear speakers are amplified? There' s no steering wheel controls as it's poverty spec! I will pull the head unit and have a look to see if it's iso or not.
My S3 8l was no where near as complicated.
Cheers

I had a 2004 S3 8L before, so know that changeover years can be a real pain.

I'm not sure on how to tell if you have rear amplified... Maybe give an Audi dealer a call and get them to confirm?

I' m booked into Audi for a software update tomorrow so I'll ask, hadn't even thought of that, cheers

If you ask the parts department nicely they might give you a print out off the spec off your car which will tell you what is fitted to your car when it left the factory
