Pulling my hair out! Passenger window not working correctly :-(

Something wrong with my passenger window on my ‘08 TTS:

It does not move up and down when the door is opened or closed like it should. This is allowing water in to the car!

It also won’t auto up or down from the interior switches.

And it wont auto up or down from the key in the lock or the key fob. (I suspect this will start working when the above two issues are fixed).

Help :-(
 
If something might actually be physically broken then I’ll take it to the dealer I guess, if not then surely I should be able to fix it myself somehow?

Also, not sure if it’s related but with the passenger window open all the way when you shut the door you can hear the glass vibrating inside very loudly, and also the passenger windows seems sluggish compared to the drivers window.
 
Might be worth getting a Vcd's Autoscan done and it could throw up a fault helping you elimate certain things as i am sure it could be many
 
Sorry forgot to update the thread, turned out Simone at some point had fitted a non genuine window regulator which was a real bad fit so there was a lot of resistance on the glass. Genuine regulator fitted and everything works as it should.
 
Happy to hear you had a fruitful outcome . Good idea to buy a genuine vcds cable as its a wonderful and saves heaps off money come time
 
No good for me as I no longer have a laptop. I get by with a gaming PC and a tablet nowadays.
