B5 Facelift Headlamps

not sure if you have seen my wanted thread, but at the minute im looking for a pair of facelift 1pc projectors and have a few questions

1. Does anyoine have any for sale ?
2. Does anyone know where you can get them cheapish, cheapest i have found is £96+VAT at euro car parts
3£ Has anyone used the "replacement" type version of these lights ie not valeo, like the £129 a pair ones on the bay

Hi, Be very careful, the quality of a lot of the cheap lights on Ebay is questionable. Dont forget they are the eyes on your car and they will stand out like a sore thumb if you fit poor quality ones. At the moment i have a dispute on with a trader on Ebay, "Amberperformance" who owes me £148 for some poor quality "Angel eye style" healights i had to send back as they did not fit my prefacelift A4 (the bonnet wouldnt shut) !! and they did not have the internal fogs like my original Bosch headlights do. I have had to buy another set of lights "Inpro" which are of superior quality compared to the Ebay lights i have bought. (for £50 more) Another thing to consider is a lot of the cheap lights require rewiring, whereas a lot of the better quality lights around £200 like the Inpro which i have bought are "plug and play" I'm posting a pic of my car later today.

Thanks for your input, i already have the inpro, projector lights (2 piece version) as below

I am not after angel eyes or aftermarket lights. I ideally want the OEM Valeo ones, but have noticed that some manufacturers (depo etc) offer replacement versions of these (copies of oem as opposed to "aftermarket" angel eyes etc) was wondering what they are like really

Yeah if you want them i will do when i sort some others out, have an ad on here and have been in touch with some breakers so just palying the waiting game at the minute.
Best thing about the 2 piece is no need to trim your wing and no wiring to do
 
Cool, do you have a rough price that you are looking for? headlamps & indicators?

I had to do a little repair where one of the adjuster arms meets the headlamp lense (plastic welded then glass fibre) But they adjust fine ( as i found out last week at MOT)

40quid + Post ?

Providing i can get some lamps, I see on your wanted post that drizz had some on offer did anything ever come of this ?
 
Think he put his car up for sale, as he said he might do as there was a repair needing done. So i feel through.

Cool let me know when you get the lights sorted I have money waiting.

Is that including the indicators?

Yeah all included as part of the set, money waiting here too, just cant find anything to spend it on lol
 
If you can wait, keep an eye on Ebay, I picked up a pair of genuine Valeo facelift headlamps in as-new condition for £60 buy-it-now a few months ago , and shortly after a new and boxed Genuine offside one for £35 delivered from an Audi main dealer clearing out their obsolete stock...............
I presume you are aware though that fitting the later facelift lights to a pre-facelift car (which is what I intend to do with my Ebay purchases once the weather gets better!) is a bit more involved than the 'plug and play' aftermarket lights?
The electrical connectors for the post-facelift lights are different to the earlier ones so you either need to cut the original headlight loom or make up your own adaptor; do a search on here as there's loads of info on doing this mod!!

Yeah i know about the wiring, bit of a pain but easy enough to do and the more modern look of the 1pc is worth the hassle
 
I got some brand new, Valeo, OEM projectors from this place. Cost me just over £160 all in including delivery - got them today. Just need to find out what mod I need to do to the inner wing now...
 
Be careful if you buy headlights off ebay, as 90% of them are for lefthand drive cars and will not pass an MoT as the beam bends the wrong way!

ive got some valeo ones on my shed in a box 1 peice projector lights bit the cover thingy me bob which goes on top of indicator bulb has come off inside the light, it prolly can be opened i had these for sale a while ago but couldnt find them they where in the shed ill take sum pics n put them up tonight to show what i mean about that indicator

price wont be that much cuz of that indicator i got them free off my mate who sold his a4 he was gunno put them in. ill pm u pics. these are the ones fitted in the t plate on wards the ones which i have just to make sure. spk later!
 
Buy the way if any body as the push in side light with the none bayonet type bulb from there old units that would not mind cutting them off with a little wire on them, I would not mind buying them.

I have to say that this is one of the best looking A4's on this site, it sits just right on those Monoblocs.

no there are quite a few alternatives

Early S4s have 2 piece Xenon projector headlamps

Inpro (what i have currently) make 2pc projectors as do hella (i think DPM sell the hella lights)

then there are the OE facelift Valeos that i am looking for
 
Got one of mine off ebay, was brand new in the box, bought the second one from euro car parts. Remember though that you need the different headlight motors at £17 each and also the wiring plugs from audi.
 
try 4ringsspares the breakers on ebay mate. saw one at least on there before.
 
I'm still waiting for a refund from "Amberperformance" they got very nasty when i asked for a refund and wouldnt accept that the lights would not fit, they didnt even know that there are two types of lights fitted to A4s. Anyone who is looking for headlights on Ebay avoid dealing with this Ebay seller, not nice at all, the only options i would advise anyone to consider for B5 prefacelift headlight upgrades are two piece projectors Inpro and Hella, or facelift projectors Valeo ( wing mod needed to fit) i bought the lights 2 months ago and i am still waiting for a refund. That says it all.
 
Did the advert specifically say they fit 96-99 models or not?

Yes mate, the advert specifically said "will fit all A4's from 96 to 99" they didnt fit mine !
