Just Ordered.. Few Questions

I’ve just ordered a 1.4 Avant Black Line S-Tronic in Daytona Grey with Tech Pack, Sound and Comfort and LED ambient lights.

Just got a few questions for people who have just gone through the process..

- How long before your dealer gave you an order number? I was told by my salesman that they will be altering an existing order and to expect delivery March/April.

- I really want the flat bottom wheel! I understand this comes with the BL as standard, however when using the online configurator, when I select the tech pack the steering wheel changes back to round and when I try to add the flat bottom wheel in the options list it comes up with an error. I was assured by the salesman it will definitely have the Flat bottom wheel, can someone with a BL with Tech pack just confirm they got the wheel?

Hi! Im not sure about the first question, however you can spec the FB steering wheel with the technology package. It would be best to speak to the person putting your order through to sort that for you. That is my understanding as I was advised similar by my lease company!

I received the order number from Audi UK by email about 2 weeks after ordering.

If by Black Line you meant Black Edition, there’s another thread about this here that said the flat bottom wheel overrides the round one with the tech pack.

I had the same concerns about the FB steering wheel but I really wanted the tech pack...... imagine my surprise when my car turned up with the flat bottom fitted AND the tech pack (and sound and comfort).
I questioned the dealer on this as I was convinced that Audi had forgotten to fit something but when he checked the system the configurator had stopped replacing the flat bottom wheel with the round one! He told me that as far as he was aware every BE comes with the flat bottom regardless of configured spec (which makes sense really seeing as the whole point of the BE is the design aspect).

Is not the order number generated the minute the salesperson makes the order?

Thanks for your replies... I did look at a few cars out the back that had just been off loaded (A5s mainly) that had a tech pack and Flat bottom wheel and the salesman was sure it did still come with it, but just makes you nervous when it doesn’t show on the Configurator!

Regarding the order number, I too thought it would generate a number as soon as you place the order but obviously not.

Trying to keep away from the options list... I’ve now added folding mirrors!

You will receive an email when your order has been raised on the system, the date will show the actual order date but it does take about a week for it to “appear” on the system, at this point you can start to track your order

Better prepare yourself then as the spec list on myAudi tracker is usually wrong too
