I get better mileage too but as mentioned it may be down due to weather or may be bad fuel from Shell
Today while cruising on motorway I got gearbox fault warning on dash with message "It's safe to drive".
First thing I did when I got home was to plug in vagcom and scan to see the fault code but there is none. What could possible be wrong?

I have been driving up and down A38 due to work these days and the best I have got is 38mpg. That is cruising in dynamic mode with 40/60/70 mph.

Did a 60 mile round trip with a mixutire of 40/60/70mph in Eco mode and returned 45mpg. My daily commute is mostly 30 & 60mph commute over 15 miles. Most of the time is stuck bumper to bumper in traffic and the average is 33mpg.
On the holiday trips I get 36 doing a constant 85mph in France.
Following my dad' caravan at 65 to 70 I saw 60 plus lol. The caravan makes a huge hole in the wind resistance.

3l 245 Avant: on my summer wheels (255/35/20 OEM Pirelli) crusing at 75-80 will return 45-48 depending on the temperature;
On the winter rubber (225/55/17 Michelin Alpine 5s) doing the same, I can push it past 50.
Both done in Auto mode...
Town driving, it is mid 30s.

I never bought 3.0 ltr for economy reasons and my single turbo is fast enough to smoke yours BITDI
Changed the washers jets to new wide spray ones - should have come with them. Much better spray
5 minutes job, very easy, straight swap. Got from local TPS for £8.51 each side.

Starting to get gearbox malfunction but I don't feel any slippage while driving. Tried doing TCU calibration with VCDS but it get's aborted with message SAFETY REASONS.
Got price of OEM clutch from TPS £192 plus + 10 bolts = £225. Did looked at SSP performance clutches but that's over £2200 which is too expensive. It's like 10 times expensive than OEM.
Any recommendations other than OEM or SSP clutches for DSG

Windscreen got chipped the other day and it was right in front of my eye line. Got it replaced today by autoglass
Getting annoyed of seeing airbag light ON all the time due to passenger seat belt tensioner. Had enough and bite the bullet for replacement part from local TPS for £258.79 + VAT

As per advise of Audi technician I bought new seat belt for £310.55 to get rid of air bag light on dash. After replacing the belt, airbag light is still on meaning original belt was never faulty.
Now how can I get refund as I bought part direct from tps and replaced the part myself.

Recommend brake discs other than OEM please.

Last night had Gearbox malfunciton warning on dash again. Did scan and it came up with error 8030 - Cooling Oil Valve. P179D - Electrical Malfunction. The heating system wasn't working on full potential either. Couldn't increase the fan speed from half either.
In morning, drove to work which is 40 miles and all seems ok. Any idea's what it could be.
