Indicators(not working with engine on ) and hazards not working at all

Hi

I have a 1999 B5 and something to do with the trailer connection went wrong and blew the light fuses . I dissconnected it and changed the fuse .

But now the hazard relay doesnt click at all and the indicators only work when the engine is of.

I have checked inside the relay and it all looks ok .

Any tips ?

Make sure theres not more than one fuse?

Probably best just replacing the relay/switch

I did check all the fuses next to the sterring wheel , but i will check further.

I just tried another relay and its doing the same ..

It cant be the stalk if the indicators work with the engine off ?

hmm, you mean if you switch the ignition on, the indicators work? Or with the car completely off?

The hazards should work with the engine on or off. The stalk isnt involved at all at that point...

Yea with the ignition on the indicators work , but as soon as the engine starts they stop.

And yea no hazards at all .....

I took all the clusters apart and refitted and it works .
