Hi folks,

When to look at an A4 B8 (tfsi), ran the scan on it. The car has been sat for the last 3 months and has eone only 140 miles since its last service. Everything else was fine apart from one error; see below. I have checked Ross Wiki and friend Google and it is battery

To the experts on the forum; does the code tell us anything else apart from battery. If I was the pick up the car, would Verta Silver Dynamic be good option? And if so, how do I know which batter I have to order?

Also, another thing that I noticed was speedo flicker. During the test drive, the top half of the fuel and temperature gauge flickered, i.e. they went out and came back on again after some time. It also happened on the speedo and area between 80 and 100 mph went dark for a minute or two and lit back up again. Would it be battery related to something else? Everything else stayed normal, the infotainment system was fine. The main beams didn't flicker or anything. An example below of gauge lights (see between 90* - 100*)

Would appreciate your help. Thanks

From what I've read on some of the posts the flicker in the instrument panel needs the light behind replacing and could be wrong.

In terms of battery I'm using varta silver in the S4. If it has start stop it needs the gel type battery. I used https://www.tayna.co.uk/

Wish I could help on the code. By any chance was it involved in an accident?

Thanks @yusuf7869. No accidents, I did the full checks. The car has full audi history and single owner.

On the flip side, almost a full tank of fuel!

lol @rum4mo. I really like the car but not sure about the flicker. Can it be battery related? Or is it instrument cluster back lights? How easy a job it is? Doable??

Cheers mate. Been searching google but didn’t come across this thread. I will get back to the seller.
