What have you done to your 8V today?

It seemed like it was an external battery pack with a power magic pro built in. Had a couple of USB ports for charging devices also. Not sure on the cost of the package as the customer supplied all the bits (I don't supply Blackvue) but believe the total cost was around £500.00

B/V battery pack is 179 and Cellink 169 on Amazon.

Power magic pro cuts power to the cams when the car battery reaches a preset voltage usually 11.8v whereas a battery pack is a self contained power unit for the cams which runs much longer in parking mode whilst your car battery is kept in tip top condition.
Actually, thinking back to the install, this is correct. The battery pack only needed a switched live connection... so no need for the PMP functionality.

I had the same especially when tweaking settings in VCDS so went for the Cellink Battery B which has enough juice for most of the weekend in parking mode powering front and rear cams ....

You young man are a bad influence........you've made me buy one!
Now do I wire it in along with the PMP or can I remove that now? @Rob2k68

Again LoL :tearsofjoy:

Remove the PMP and just leave the switched live fuse tap to the battery pack no need for the perm live.

Left it with Audi to diagnose and fix a B&O parcel shelf rattle. And sort my logo puddle light which was getting a bit of water in :)

Waited to get it back since Monday but then found out they need to order parts to fix the rattle! Hopefully should be back tomorrow.

Obligatory courtesy / demo car pic in the meantime! It's actually quite nice!

Got a nice Audi case today. I'm really really impressed with the quality. Its up there with Samsonite luggage for quality. Nice design with pockets inside for wires etc...Think the seller was Dundee Audi, they seem to be selling lots of things off, this was only £20 delivered to Italy. quite a few other accessories on their eBay site, defo worth a look...

Washed 2 weeks worth of road salt off. Looks better although it's forecast ice every night for the next week and possible snow on Thursday. So it'll soon be back to its dirty sate. As much as I like the cold, I do hate road salt and up north we get a lot of it on our roads

50 weeks after delivery and it turned 10k miles tonight.

However earlier today at 9995 miles, the low oil light came on. Having never checked it before it came as a surprise .
It’s due an oil service in 1200 miles so though I’d just get a litre bottle to top up from the dealer.
Went in at 5pm and waited on the parts guy to arrive, however I was clocked by the after sales manager who was straight over (dealt with him when the gearbox failed). Took the keys and said he’d take care of it and did I want the car washed, politely declined. 10 mins later the car was parked at the front door waiting on me.

Couldn’t fault the service, for Stirling Audi.

Fitted a BCS Powervalve Resonator Delete Pipe to my FL 2.0TFSI. Was not expecting much of a change if I must be honest... and I was not wrong lol. Although my exhaust note has changed a little, inside the car its now quieter than it was with the resonator in place. Cannot tell if there is any difference from the outside, need to get someone to rev if while I am behind it I guess.

*not an issue with the pipe. Came off a Golf MK7.5 R and worked very very well while installed on that, ****** loud :)

Also had a fight with my Audi dealership of 7 years after they started to mess me around over warranty works. Amongst other things they had my car for more than 24 hours and could not find the following issues, which I recorded within 5 mins of getting home. According to my dashcam the Audi techs spent more time trying to find out where I got my shift paddles from then actually trying to diagnose legit issues lol

Clicking coming from front drivers side wheel area (Clicking at 7, 21 and 34 seconds):

Rattle from front engine area after revving:

High pitched from drivers side folding mirror:

Any London based dealership, that does not belong to Barons Group, want my personal warranty works and business referrals? :)

Yeah my mate who did the gtechniq CSL wasn't a fan of the existing as he claimed it streaked? Will be putting it on spring time I reckon, or over Xmas when I can put the car away for a few days.

I have to say I am a big fan of the Dodo Juice products... items like Future Armour, Red Mist and their Detailing Spray. Its not cheap stuff but can be used sparingly and provides stunning results.

Sparingly is the key word mate, yeah av used red mist but it's not very forgiving if you don't buff off quickly..... I think they have a lighter version of it now

Damn I do like the look of the virtual cockpit, looks bad ***. Just don't know if I would find it distracting, plus I get headaches quite frequently and am sat in front of a screen all day so would be worried about that on the VC!

I have done nothing but look at my S3 today, and had a phone call from Audi UK, an unhappy woman asking why I did not want to speak with her after I spoke with somebody else and requested my case to be reassigned as she doesn't seem to like to respond to emails, call me when promised and is generally a nightmare to get hold of..

Collecting my carbon wing mirrors tomorrow though =)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I'm looking to buy an Unlimited VIN VCDS cable and software. Are there any forum members selling any as I'm looking at 450 from Ross tech sellers and really want to get it as cheap as a can, but genuine

Not exactly today but yesterday I gave it a good late night wash. Pretty hard to find the motivation for a hand wash when it's freezing cold and already dark when you get home from work

Ignore the price but I'm looking to replace a set of my summer typres with an all season for a couple of months and from my existing tyre profile these seem to the the only option.

https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/r...ite=10&Transport=P&dsco=110&sowigan=GAN&m_s=3

I've read some reviews and all seem good for this even though I've never heard of them. Anyone got recommendations for 235/35/r19s? I have searched and options are limited btw.
