A3/S3 Photos Thread

Here are first pictures of my A3 after the makeover. During last few weeks and after an accident, I upgraded her with:
- Bi-xenon headlights with LED DRL
- S-line front bumper
- RS look front grille by X-UK
- Matte chrome wing mirrors
- S3/S-line roof/tailgate spoiler
- Window tint: 70% to the front door windows and 55% to the rest.

I'll take better pictures when wether allows.

Visited Audi dealer for a dieselgate software update this morning. Took this picture just before execution. Two hours later I went to a stage 1 remap with EGR OFF.

A friend of mine who owns a BMW 3 series has put tights over his lenses. It's effective and doesn't affect the brightness.

Not the conversion itself is a headache. The conversion is a number of steps that must be performed. The headache is doing it when you don't know what to do. You get a lot of questions and doubts. You start browsing web and use a lot of time searching for answers. You don't always get all the answers as most of the threads you find (in case if are lucky to find them at all) are old and abandoned. Wiring is another source of headache. You should have Elsawin (and skills to read and understand diagrams) or buy a semi ready-to-fit solutions by Kufatec. Did I say "semi"? It's because there are a lot of mentions of a wrong pinouts on kufatec made harnesses. Deciphering their installation manuals are another source of headache (pre-post facelift differences aren't always mentioned, missing coding instructions, hard-to-understand guidelines, etc).

If I was going to do it again, I would pay to someone who could do it for me. I spent a lot more time on this conversion than a professional retrofitter would need. I wasted a week of my summer vacation, the time I'd rather spend with my family.

However, I'm glad and proud that I've done it myself as I count it as another achievement.

Decided to post some pics of my a3... not very good ones but all I have on my phone at the moment.

The car:
2012 Audi A3 s-line black edition
2.0 TDi cr140 CFFB
6 speed manual

Spec:
S-line black edition
Auto Xenon plus headlights
High beam assist
Storage package
Non smoking package
Interior light pack
Symphony radio
Bose
Bluetooth
iPod dock
Vienna s-like embossed leather
Cruise control
Power fold mirrors

Also done a few tweaks on vcds:
Cornering fogs
DRL’s at full brightness when indicating
Alarm chirp
Trip monitor accuracy

Owned the car since may 2016, had it remapped in December 2016. I’ve added gloss black front grille badge and wind deflectors.

Future plans:
DPF delete and stage 2 remap
Eibach pro springs
10mm wheel spacers all round
Possibly fit team dynamic pro race 1.2 wheels

What a day . Got my calipers back last week shot blasted and painted a nice yellow , then called away offshore and back today . Had a chat with my mechanic mate to see if he had managed to put them back on for me while i was away ( looking forward to given car a good run ) alas he didn't have the time as he was mega busy all week but he said he would pop over around noon and pop them on within a cpl off hours so he arrived bang on noon and started thaken the wheel nuts off wheel 1 so i thought i'll give him a hand and went about loosen the nuts on the other 3 wheels leaving locking nut tight .well would you credit it he got first locking nut off and then went to take 2nd one off when the fe*king locking nut key broke so now no further on than i was when i picked up my newly blasted and painted calipers but on the upside i got my projector lights in and working well

Same as mine wanting to lower it as well maybe 30mm and get spacers , and rs3 gril
