yourAudi - Track New Car Order

have you tried Audi live chat? ive always found them very helpful

Despite Audi UK confirming that they have my order, the tracker doesn't work for me. Emailed Audi UK, but not response as yet. Dealer has also confirmed the order no. and has given me an update as to build status (BW 46) but no idea why the tracker isn't working.

Any advice?

What about it doesn’t work for you? The tracker isn’t showing the build date or any of the videos for any of us.. it’s been down for over a month pretty much.

You have to give a week or so for the tracker to find new orders.

just spoke to Audi UK who said that my car arrived in Grimsby port on 6/10/17 and it’s still in the port.. he also said it can stay there for up to a week so anyone know why it’s been there for over 2 weeks now? getting impatient

It doesn't recognise the details I've put in - order no. and postcode - so the whole tracking thing won't work. I gave it a week or so after ordering but 3 weeks have passed and it's still not recognised.

Mine arrived at Grimsby on 10/10 and it was on the transporter to the dealers by the 19th. I read elsewhere that VAG have an agreement to get cars out of the port in 10 days, working days I guess.
It's probably worth asking Audi UK and your dealer what is happening to at least put your mind to rest.

on the ALA gap insurance which do I go for is it the Back to Invoice Plus or the Vehicle Replacement plus? ive never worried about this before but now got a dearer car I think its needed but need to know which to get, thanks anyone who can help

I found this on https://www.gapinsurance.co.uk/

What Does Replacement GAP Cover?
GAP insurance policies don't come much better than this.

Replacement GAP insurance is the highest level of GAP insurance cover available today. It's a combination of the three main types of GAP insurance: Finance GAP insurance, Invoice GAP insurance and Replacement GAP insurance - which means it provides the best of all cover levels.

In the event of your vehicle being declared a Total Loss (written off) through accident, fire, theft, or flood, Replacement GAP insurance aims to pay the difference between your Motor Insurance payout and THE GREATER OF either:

  • The amount (if any) outstanding on finance at the time of claim EXCLUDING any Negative Equity brought forward from a previous vehicle (unless the optional "Negative Equity Cover" was purchased), OR
  • The ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE that you paid for your vehicle first time around, OR
  • The cost of REPLACING YOUR VEHICLE with one of the same Make, Model, Age, Specification and Mileage (or nearest equivalent) as your original vehicle was when you first bought it - even if the replacement vehicle cost is MORE than you bought the vehicle for first time around.

Well they have failed miserably in my case on 15 days and counting!

Hm, I doubt your dealer or Audi UK are in any rush to ensure it is working either. Somebody on here had theirs under the wrong name, check with Audi UK how it’s been assigned.

In the UK port?! You sure they haven’t forgotten about it? Parked it behind one of the big containers, or forgotten to offload it from the ship and it’s going back and forth Emden? ;)

Apparently, your dealer can go and collect the car too if they want......

Sorry got mixed I'm talking about Emden, have been told Tuesday it's on a ship then the Dealer is going to collect the car from the port, but the prep center is only a mile away from the port thankfully.

i’ve spoken to Audi UK and first they said 6th it was at the port then Solomon said it was at the port on the 10th so idk who to believe

Ah I see, usual delay then. I’m hoping mine won’t be that long... it’s on its way there now.

Was going to ask why your dealer is collecting, that’s why if they are so close :( Wanted mine to collect to get it ASAP. But it’s a good few hours away from the dealer.

How did you find out when it’s due on a ship? I didn’t think they could give dates?

just emailed John Doorbar, head of business for Crewe Audi.. Hopefully can get him to prioritise my car as i don’t fancy waiting any longer i can’t contain the excitement

Hi DaveMK; when you say it isn't working, is it that you are seeing nothing at all? Assume your are registered and signed into 'Your Audi' and you are also using the additional link/tab which displays all of the JSON data?

They won't, but as I've been waiting 3 weeks they decided to give me that information. They have all the details they just won't share that information.

I'm signed up to Your Audi with my current car registered, but when I try to add my new car order, it says that the order no. / postcode don't match their records, so I can't add the order at all.

Very odd.

Call your dealer and clarify they have entered your details the same as you are.

Spoke to a receptionist today who recognised my voice & said that J Doorbar forwarded the email to everyone? Best person to speak to is Les my sales exec, he left me a voicemail but had no time to call him back as at work so i'll call on my lunch and give you an update

Sounds good. Only so I know whether it’s possible to speed this process up.....

So how did it go? What was the handover like? Or do you keep finding excuses to drive somewhere? :)

The tracker seems to be showing all the videos and pictures for me now. It hadn't done for the past few weeks.

I had the same issue. All of your details on myAudi much match order details. I resolved it by contacting Audi UK via Facebook messenger. They were excellent and on each contact replied within an hour or so.
My surname was spelt incorrectly and it wouldn’t let me amend it. In the end Audi UK deleted my account to allow me to register again.
Been checking it now for a few weeks and only yesterday did it change to show “we are building yours next week”
Perhaps it will show signs of life in the week before your build date - which your dealer can give you. Good luck........this wait is driving me potty

Spoke to Les again, said he's doing everything he can to get the car to me this wednesday! Gotta go to Crewe Audi after work to sign some docs, good thing I work 2 mins away from it:yes:Also said he's going to get me a parting gift for being so patient :rockwoot:

Parting Gift ??

It just shows the difference a good dealer can have on the experience.

I waited almost 4 months for my car including 10 extra days while I sorted my personal plate paperwork out, something that could have been done in plenty of time had they bothered to return my call. At hand over I pretty much got 'here is your keys, there's your car now do one!'
Audi Bolton were utter d0g sh1t
The crap service followed on, I have a crease in my passenger seat bolster. They acknowledged that someone needed to look at it. 3 emails, 2 phone calls including a message to the head of business resulted in nothing. tired of trying last week I took the car to Audi Stockport and within 15 minutes, car was booked in, courtesy car arranged job done !

Yep, the wait is having the same effect on me! When is your build week?

My dealer has given me a confirmed BW 46, which is w/c Nov 6th. My last few cars have been ex-demo so this is my first new car in 20+ years... very excited! :)

That's w/c the 13th Nov DaveMK (unless I'm wrong)? Either that or my own obsession over a week 45 build is misplaced! :whistle2:

You are absolutely correct. I'm BW45, not 46... closer than I thought :)

We are in it together then the waiting is indeed tough and my car is being built in Hungary (saloon) but it will be interesting to see who collects first! There are at least three of us in this thread who have week 45. The last transit phase is an unknown but I’m really hoping for a mid December collection. Game on!

Yeah they were his exact words, I asked but he just said you’ll find out on Wednesday because that’s when i’m picking the car up, he’s been on the phone all day and it’s worked he’s booked it to be at the dealer on wednesday so i can go straight after work! He’s been amazing honestly, i emailed the head of business with a review and even he said that Les puts most of the young sales execs to shame so i was lucky! and he’s so down to earth bless him, wow that’s not what you expect is it when you buy an Audi, just goes to show how good people are at their job.. this is Crewe Audi and i’ll be leaving a really good review everywhere, trip advisor.. their website.. everywherei just can’t thank them enough i really can’t.. 18 and my 2nd car is an A3 Saloon S Line Black Edition

I’ve had a new build before but can’t remember it dragging so long. I wonder if this tracking status of build actually makes it more painful.
My current A3 was somewhere in the country, my dealer found it, I got it a week later. Simple. It had all the extras I wanted + auto dimming mirror, which I would’nt have spec’d.......but wouldn’t be without now.
BW 44 for me and myAudi showing start date of 30/10 to confirm.
Stay patient.....

My dealer suggested that the car should be here late Nov / early Dec. I hope that's the case - my car needs MOTing early Dec and I don't want to be spending anything on mine, especially as it's going to be scrapped!
