So after a brief chat with my dealer today, I’ve been told it all comes down to timing/luck for anyone trying to sway Audi into matching the price of the sport pack if you instead have magride, sports exhaust and TPMS options selected individually.
I placed my order only 6 days before Audi released the sport pack (albeit at the time, via memo only on the dealers internal system) and like most, I expected I would have at least a week or two to make amendments especially since I was first looking at a build week in December, but found out my order got lock down the following day!
If you went to a store and bought an item at full retail and then find it on sale at the same store just a few days later, you can be sure that the shop will refund you any difference if you ask, I accept it might not be the case if you had purchased several weeks/months ago. This was basically my argument after first being told I couldn’t take advantage of the sport pack to save £545 and at my request the dealer conveyed my annoyance about this to Audi UK who accepted it’s unjust that I should miss out on this saving so soon after placing my order and when I already had all the options selected.
So the upshot is, if you ordered sometime recently like in the week prior to Audi announcing the sport pack and selected all three options, then most likely you will get a discount but if you ordered well before then, even if you haven’t yet taken delivery, sorry to say, forget it.
@AudiNutta , I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear but don’t let this stop you from pushing your dealer into giving you a discount as after all they told you they weren’t discounting the RS3 to anyone yet they have given many people on this forum 5% or more. If you have no luck with them, as a token of appreciation for sharing the information about the sport pack with everyone on this forum even though you probably knew you would not benefit from it yourself, my dealer is giving me about £100 worth of cleaning products which is yours if you want it.
