Hi all, I wanted to ask other owners whether their gearbox behaves the same as mine.
When in Sport mode I find it holds the revs slightly longer than D on the way up (as it should), however the downshifts seem to be the same a D?
My old A6 tiptronic used to downshift much earlier in S mode meaning I was always in the correct rev band, making the car feel sporty.... but on the S5 it seems to drop the revs just like D. It's not very sporty and I find myself using the manual mode to keep the car in the right rev range.

Yeah that's what I do now, I just wanted to check I didn't have a gearbox issue..... but the more I read the more it seems Audi held back with Sport mode on the DSG 7 speed and only increased throttle response and upshifts.... Its not really sport mode as such, more for overtaking quickly etc..
I'll stick with manual for full control - I guess that's the idea with a dual clutch system anyway.
