Hi everyone,

I've recently brought an early 09 A4 but I'm slightly confused over the bluetooth, whether I don't have it, or somethings wrong.

Its got
Satellite Navigation system Plus (MMI 2G)
and
Mobile telephone preparation – Low

But when I go into the bluetooth menu, there is no option to turn it on. I've attached a picture.

Reading the brochure it says
"In front centre armrest, uses Bluetooth interface or cradle to connect".

I've had a search but can't come up with a relevant answer. Does this mean its got the bluetooth interface or that the bluetooth interface can be added to this system? Unfortunately they don't make a cradle that supports my phone.

Thanks for any help!

Looks lime you do have Bluetooth. It's always on when the key is on. Search for Bluetooth devices on your phone and connect that way. The cradles are pretty scrap so wouldn't bother with it.

Press the top right soft button and go into "Settings"

I have read the manual thanks, hence why I think somethings wrong or missing.

The manual says that on that page there should be an option to "Turn bluetooth on" which there isn't.

If I click the top right soft button it just takes me to image below. I've also tried searching for bluetooth devices on the phone and nothing appears.

Do I need to have a cradle inserted for the bluetooth to work?
Is there a way to check I definitely have the bluetooth interface, or is this just a given with phone prep low?

Thanks again for every ones help

on the first pic it states pin for hands free, click on that for pin number. search for bluetooth device on your phone then put the pin and away you go

Try going through the remove Bluetooth devices menu in case there is already a phone connected to it.

I have vague memories of have to do that when I wanted to connect my wife's phone to mine. You definitely don't need a cradle.

Cheers guys! That finally worked, after deleting the existing device and searching, don't understand why its not explained like that in the manual.

Then you either have a strange manual or haven't read it right. It is in my manual.

I think the manual I have might be for the 3G weirdly so yes probably why
