Hi guys, just joined. I went and bought a 2011 A7 3.0 TDi Quattro over two years ago now. I'm looking for some advice and thought i'd join this forum :) I'm not going to lie, i've really struggled trying to find an after market air intake and exhaust system but i'll post a new thread about this in more detail once i can. For now i'll upload a pic of my beauty.

:sign welcome: from another Ayrshire member.

If your looking for a custom exhaust, speak to Jonny at Elite Custom Exhaust's in Ayr. I've have exhaust's made up from him for both my A4 & A5 2.0 TDI's over the years, great guy and knows his stuff.

Enjoy the Forum.

Hey JG!,

I got in touch with elite Custom exhausts at your recommendation JG and he's given me a great quote for a quad exhaust. Problem is the valance that would fit it only came in to production 2012 for a S7, a year after my car.

So now I don't know what to do. There's RS7 valences out there for 2011 cars, don't know how as they went in to production 2013 and what the hell exhaust would I get with that valence?

I should maybe phone elite Custom exhausts for some advice. I'm now considering just keeping the valence and getting just a nice twin exhaust.

But yea, this is all because what I really want is it tuned. Spoke to ecotune in Glasgow that did my mates exhaust and tune on his A5, and they'll do a stage 1 for a good price.

Given in looking at air intakes, I think I'll just get a decent air filter. I don't know if I'm crazy, conflicted or just over thinking everything but I'm going mad looking at mods. So much money urghhhh.

Hi Peter,

suggest you post a question re the rear valance/diffuser in the A7/S7 section, you may get a response from someone with knowledge of this mod.

You could also search the likes of Milteck exhausts for your car, and see what valance they suggest you use.

Ecotune seem to have a good rep, and if your mates A5 was ok then you should be too. Don't suppose your mate is looking for a complete S5 front brake set up, £270 collected.

re intake, you maybe better putting a K&N or Pipercross panel filter in, or replace the original Audi one, don't think there is much to be gained with an intake on a TDI from what I've read.

Before I joined this Forum, I had spare cash at the end of every month, so get used to being skint, but you'll have a cracking motor, coz that's where your cash is going from now on. :whistle2:

Yea you're both right guys, I just need to take a bit of time off looking, get some more info and collect my thoughts. Ha ha yes Gas monkey I do like the stealth look don't want to ruin it.

My mates already upgraded his brakes and is just about to do the suspension or I would've JG. The S7 valence is what I'm after but the only ones I can find that fit a 2011 is for a SE model not S-line.

Ha ha it's defo going downhill for my bank balance Gas monkey :grumpy:

Mine will never see a show Calum I was so precious when I 1st bought it but don't clean it nearly enough now. It needs a good polish to get rid of some marks on it. I'd love to buy a rupes bigfoot polisher but that'll not be happening for a while.

The suspension I'll have to look in to as well. I don't even know if it'd be worthwhile as it already has adaptive air suspension. More questions for the A7 forum ha ha.

Yeah by show, I meant aesthetic things like the rear diffuser etc. Adaptive suspension, I don't think you'll need to do anything with that.

Cheers Gas monkey, I'll ping them a email see what they say I've all but given up, every single person I've emailed doesn't do a 2011 s- line.

I've found one here that has still to get back to me and looks promising http://www.xenonz.co.uk but at £600 is just not worth it to me.

Nice man, that'll look really nice. What exhaust ya went with? Did you get hit with a tax bill seeing as it came from the States?

Yah ups paid all tax customs ECT on my behalf, And I played them cash on delivery , which was less than I expected, I'm not putting it on till next spring , got an RS front grill to go on at the same time just collecting parts at the moment , exhuast will be a custom job witch will be a better fit and I will get tailpipe s that I want by WWW.pipedynamics.co.uk which are just next door to me
