yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Spoke to Audi today, mine's ready for collection 11am on Monday. Really pleased - my last two cars have been later than estimated so to have this one almost a month earlier than forecast is great.

In case it's useful (lots of questions here about timescale), for this 2.0 TDI the dates were:

1.08 - initial conversation with Aberdeen Audi, they reserved a slot even though I was still shopping around
29.08 - order placed
14.09 - Status 20
28.09 - Status 21
29.09 - Status 22
30.09 - Status 23
2.10 - Status 24
2.10 - Status 30
3.10 - Status 38
10.10 - Status 39
13.10 - Status 40
17.10 - Status 60
19.10 - Status 70

The Audi Json page doesn't match those dates, but the ones above are when the various statuses changed. So roughly 8 weeks from order to collection, but that was with a build slot reserved 4 weeks in advance.

So my Audi is waiting for transporter now from Grimsby, but I have just noticed on the Json data it says black edition when infact I ordered a s line. Now I know it sometimes says this on “MY AUDI” as a description on the main page but surprised it shows up on JSON page or is this normal

Well you never know. On the JSON data site next to model variant it says black edition.
Does anybody else’s say it

Mine flicked between S-Line and Black Edition (I ordered an S-Line) many times.

It ended up on Black Edition at the end, but it wasn't. Sorry to burst your bubble but I think you'll be getting the S-Line :)
 
The below is what I have just read of JSON - what does this mean? Does it mean the car will begin build on Monday 6th November? Completely new to this JSON thingy!

Mine arrived at Grimsby yesterday and the tracker updated this morning to status 40. I'm not ready for it yet so just emailed my snout and told him to get it ready for mid November delivery.

EMS Highway has just docked at Grimsby. Anyone know how long it takes on average to get the car to the stealers?
 
Hey all, lurked for a while but finally got to status 10 and a build date on Json. Ordered a 1.4 S tronic Avant S-line on 25th September hoping to receive it before Xmas, but have a build date of 5th February! Absolute disaster and I now may have to cancel as I needed the car beginning of Jan latest :(

That will almost certainly change. My build start date was 5th sept but a few days after this it was built and in quality control.

If your car is standard of not much on extras, speak to your dealer and see If there is already another car the same with an earlier build spot to speed things up.
 
Looks like the date glitch on 'YourAudi' is fixed...mines now showing confirmed build date again :)

Mine went Status 30 on Friday. Will the status change again when it arrives at the exit port or only when it's been assigned to a ship?

Mine too.......we'll have to start a "Week 45 build" club soon. Seems like there's a few of us with the same date.

I love this bit on the yourAudi page "Our factory is currently collating all the parts we need to build your A4 Saloon. because we're determined to get every part just as you specified, this can take up to a month." I'm imagining lots of people wandering around scratching their heads as they pick up parts all over the plant :tearsofjoy:

As long as they manage to pick up the elusive 19" rotor alloys this time!

You should go on status 38 the day after it gets to Emden (5 days on train). And 39 when the boat sails and 40 when it gets to the UK port.
 
Well my Audi dealer confirmed I can pick car up on the 30th Oct so a week today. Can’t wait

Any progress with yours this morning?

Makassar Highway heading back to Emden today so hoping mine will get loaded onto it as it's been going back and forth to Sherness.
 
Mine went Status 38 this morning. Wonder how long it will be sitting at the port!

no movement as of yet. if the car is going to grimsby it will be another few days.. so far its been at the port for 7 days. so it should be on a boat within the next 7 days. I hope anyway. the wait is killing me.
 
Mines been on 38 for over a week. On My Audi it has shown left Ingoslat since last Monday :(

The DANUBE HIGHWAY is currently loading in Emden and due in at Sheerness at 8am tomorrow morning. so you might be on that boat. fingers crossed

That will be nice if it is, how soon does the tracker update once it's on the vessel?

Looking at the JSON data I now have a VIN number, but not sure I can do anything with that.

I think its the normal overnight update so just a waiting game..
