What have you done to your 8V today?

where did you get nextzett? heard the wheel cleaner is very good but cant find it anywhere in the UK.....

Good old Amazon !

I use this on my wheels every few months to seal them. I then just keep them clean with the same products I use on the bodywork. Not let me down yet!

Does the bottle have a shelf life? The only place I can find it works out cheaper to buy 2 of them and get free delivery! £5.95 each...good price?
I'd paid about £8 a year ago and it's still working fine. I'd guess a few years after opening should be fine

OK thanks, just ordered 2 with tracked delivery for £12.08 :)

Not bad! It is an excellent product for the money. Hopefully you agree

Yeah hopefully! I've got it for the A5 coupe that's due anytime now...the windows on that don't have frames so the glass could stick to the rubber if left unprotected and it gets very frosty. Thanks for posting ;)

@S32B I can confirm it does not have a shelf life.. I did exactly the same and bought as a 2 pack.

Had a bit of a session at @jungle650 's place yesterday. First we had a little "rattle" finding session after Jungle stripped his drivers door down. Lots of taping and test driving but it seems we are beaten.... for the moment anyway!

We then started to attack my car. Although fitted and very very happy with my @MethodEffects front splitter I fitted this on my own and it was a few mm's off on one side, but after a couple of hours, some chat and coffee it's now 100% lined up.

We then switched back to Jungles car in order to calibrate the reversing camera he retrofitted a while back :)

Not exactly what I have done but more like what I’m going to do.

I have an A3 S-Line on a 63 plate. The wife’s curbed the alloys and I’m going to go for a colour change but all the quotes I’ve got say they are diamond cut but mine are currently not. Should they be or have they already been refurbed and not done correctly?

Sorry for going off thread a bit, but speaking as someone who had an A5 then an S5, plus my wife's had a few TT's including the current one, it's not the glass sticking to the seal that's the problem, it's the mechanism inside the door freezing and causing issues when the window is meant to drop a fraction on opening and rise again when closed. Drives me insane every winter. Real danger of the glass smashing as the window doesn't drop. At least the S3 doesn't have them and I only drive the wifes car occasionally. Garage cleared now so problem solved.

Ha ha cheers. Designed it a bit bigger when we built our house. Phase 1 recently complete (get rid of all the s**t to allow cars in), Phase 2 is install units and work surfaces. Cars will be inside from now on.

build a scalextric track around a massive stockpile of detailing supplies that you will never, ever need....but you have them just in case :grinning:

The S3 had been a bit neglected recently and is in good need of a clean when the weather permits, especially now my resin refill for the water filter has arrived.

I did however give the Mrs car a bit of attention the other day, her B Pillars were driving me crazy, they looked like they'd had a lifetime of being washed with sand paper! The picture doesn't actually make them look as bad as they were - apologies for the lack of Audi although the S3 is photobombing the pics.

Completed the fitment of my footwell, puddle and warning lights.
Kits supplied by @RobinA3 using genuine Audi LEDs for the front and rear footwells and puddle lights. Standard bulb OE Warning lights.
Thanks Robin great quality looms making the install sa lot easier, if anyone wants to do this retrofit I can recommend Robin quick delivery and good follow up support.

I still have to do the VCDS changes, the lights worked upon fitting albeit a touch dull, I'm certain the MMI activation will sort that.

Not long to wait, new car day is something to look forward to, no sleep tonight!
Ohh I'll sleep tonight! I've been on nights this week, I was up at 1pm yesterday to sign for the car...then in work all night, stayed up this morning to sell the S3 and then been messing around all afternoon changing insurance/GAP etc over! So far I've been awake 28 hours!!! That's why I said no to the 9am appointment I was offered :)

What you reckon to launch control then Matt?
cant remember who said it on here a bit back but, once you've done it the novelty sort of wears off? preferred how you could feel the car bedding down more than the acceleration! Shame you dont get the DSG farts during launch :(
