yourAudi - Track New Car Order

That’s good KeithJLambert, at least it’s progressing.. I’m still stuck on status 10.. where I’ve been since the 09th September... :(

Hopefully your status will change soon too K4R3N_86; you have build week 46 right? I still check mine every day, despite the fact that I know it won't change now until the 2nd or 3rd week in November! Where is your dealer located?

woo hoo off to sign the paperwork now before pick up on Monday, going to ask for a sneeky peak before I go of the car

Long time lurker of this thread for people's experiences of the Your Audi tracker. As a habitual and sometimes obsessive checker of said tracker, my car finally registered status 70 this morning with collection on Friday!

As you'll see, mine missed out quite a considerable chunk of the 'status' codes and also spent a quite excruciating amount of time at Emden.
How did you get the detailed statistics page? Mine doesn't show that

Fingers crossed! I have an estimated build week of 45 now, but I would have thought that would have been confirmed by now so not sure.. The tracker is a blessing and a curse! It’s great, but so frustrating when nothing seems to be happening.. my dealer is in Crawley, West Sussex. The guy I’ve dealt with there has been great and I’ve tried to limit my pestering to every other week :) - at least you know when you’re tracker starts to update it will be with the good stuff and you’ll see it progress quickly I’m sure.

You are quite correct; as somebody else said, you used to place your order and then just wait for the call. Not as painful in some ways but it is great to know (roughly) where your car is in the process. I was thinking about this the other day and pondering how great it would be if you could go even further and actually watch your car on-line going through the production process. We'd never get any work done! Ahhh, Crawley. I know it very well as I travel there every month to meet with EDF Energy. I had planned to visit the Crawley dealer on my next visit but I found a very good deal at Bury St Edmunds in the interim. Good to know you have a accommodating sales person there, I've also tried not to pester mine too much!

If you sign into 'Your Audi' dashboard first and then open a new tab alongside it and go to: https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/[insert your order number here] you'll be presented with a whole page of data.

To make the data more legible you can use an on-line JSON formatter such as https://jsonformatter.org/ (or I believe you can download a JSON add-on for Chrome).

Hope that helps!

signed paperwork today ready to pick up next week, tried uploading photo but says file to large so don't know how to change it

Nice! I think ours were probably on the same boat. Mine's arrived but it's at the dealer's off-site compound as I'm not taking delivery for another six weeks :( At least it's indoors for the duration :)

The dealer had a Mythos Black S3 saloon in today - did look good!

I'm coming off a company car scheme and my current one doesn't go back until December. I could take it earlier but won't get my cash alternative until the company one goes back so would effectively be paying for two cars for a month which isn't worth it.

is the gap worth it, I haven't gone for it but can still change my mind

I will be but primarily because it's an S3 and thus at a much higher risk of being nicked.

mine is A3 saloon so not that common or so the sales man said yesterday when talking about the GAP ins, seems a lot of money on top of everything else, not sure when I go and collect car on Monday if I will go ahead or not

Yeah yours is similar to my current Daytona saloon. You can add GAP later but only up to 6/12 months I believe (don't quote me on that) but whatever you do don't take it from the dealer as there are cheaper alternatives. There's a big thread discussing it on here, I'd wait until you have the car and then have a read through that.

So it’s now turned over into the Sunday after the cars build date, tomorrow will be another build week? Guess what?.. yep, it still hasn’t left.. ***!

This isn’t a good sign, they don’t run this late do they? I’m dreading some bad news.

Dont panic!

Mine went from status 20 straight through to left the factory. The tracker is notoriously bad. Imagine how many cars roll off the production line each week, Audi don't want any cars hanging about or out of sequence at the factory. Time very much is money for Audi, they want to get your car off the port and on to the dealer as quick as possible.

My A3 was over a week at the factory, 2 days for panel & paint, 2 days to build and 5 days in QC! I've heard longer times for QC 7-8 days....

There is nothing you can do about it unfortunately, your longest wait now could be the boat, my A3 has been at Emden for 3 weeks! But you could be lucky.

I’d never drive a car out of the dealer without GAP.... too much at risk, the policies are only a couple hundred for 4 years and they are available on instalments.

Who would you recommend getting the GAP insurance with?
Also I hope your car starts getting built soon and its super quick going through the process, when we were signing paperwork on Friday they said when we change car in 3 years time if we want car for September then order in May and if want car in March order in December, I giggled as said I haven't even sat in this new one yet and they are talking 3 years down the line

ALA Gap, very well priced and a lot of people use them.

I hope it does too but I’m starting to get a little concerned, we are now into the next build week really... this would always happen to me. I will be waiting 4 weeks at the port now.

Yeah definitely a little early to be planning for the next one haha!!

Which magazine lists ALA as the

As AudiNutta mentioned ALA seems to be the cheapest.

thanks but still unsure which I get is it the "back to invoice plus" or the "vehicle replacement plus", which do you all get?

Back to invoice, don’t get a replacement vehicle because if anything happened and the RS3 isn’t available you’re a bit stuck.

Despite Audi UK confirming that they have my order, the tracker doesn't work for me. Emailed Audi UK, but not response as yet. Dealer has also confirmed the order no. and has given me an update as to build status (BW 46) but no idea why the tracker isn't working.

Any advice?
