Just had a call from my dealer. My car is complete and awaiting transport (despite what the tracker says).
He is hoping that it will be here by the end of the month.
That is rather exciting!
looks like there will be quite a few of us in the dealer come March 1.Got an email today from dealer to inform me the build date had slipped back to week 4 2018.
Back to looking at March delivery
You know as much as I do.
Enjoy the wait. It's all part of the experience.
Mine will come early ish December but i said i will have it for the 1st Jan, will be a 2018 registered car then.looks like there will be quite a few of us in the dealer come March 1.
I’m struggling to, when I’ve had a threat that I will lose £660 if my car is late for the PPF.
There must be a deal to be done with them - that seems to be totally unreasonable.I’m struggling to, when I’ve had a threat that I will lose £660 if my car is late for the PPF.
Keen for PPF myself, where are you getting covered and what’s the total cost if you don’t mind me asking?

Blimey, so your exclusive paint and protection for the front is over £4000?!You could, but it’s never as good as original paint... if it was, I’d go for that option.
PPF will have a 10 year warranty against any discolouration / lifting, sorted.
It’s not the most expensive for front end kits, I’ve seen closer to £2000. A full car is £4000 and that’s insanity.
All I had in my head was that it’s silly to pay £2,400 for Exclusive paint and not take measures to protect it. Plus stone chips on a blue car will look horrendous....
I got an email yesterday saying my build date had been moved forward to 7th November .. which now would mean I'd miss out taking advantage of the sport pack I believe

6th November you mean?
That’s the very week the pack starts.

Sorry yes the 6th ... I thought it was the end of November the pack was released .. good news if it is that week although after several emails and phone calls my dealer still hasn't come back to me yet about weather I can add it
My dealer contacted Audi UK who have agreed to pass on the £545 saving to the dealer who have then passed on the saving to myself and already applied to my order. This is despite my build week moving forward to week 44 and obviously lockdown long ago. If they can do it for me, I can’t see a reason why no one else shouldn’t be able to take advantage of this saving. However, I think you will only get it if you’ve already selected all 3 options individually that are contained in the ‘sport pack’. If you selected sports exhaust & mag ride (£2000 options combined) but then did not add the TPMS, then I don’t think you will get the saving even though the sport package with TPMS is only £1700. Of course this only matters to people whose order is in lockdown and anyone whose isn’t can easily amend their order to include the sport pack.
Most of us who already placed orders probably would not know about the sport pack existence until a time when it might be too late to do anything about it, so a BIG thanks to forum member ‘AudiNutta’ for bringing this to the attention of all!
No problem, worst thing is... my dealer isn’t giving me the discount.
Will pass this on though, thanks a lot.
I suspect some dealers (or it could be just your sales exec) won't be upfront with their customers about any saving they might get from Audi UK and will try and pocket the money for themselves. My dealer first told me even though I had selected sports exhaust, mag ride & TPMS at a cost of £2245, they couldn't combine it for the £1700 sport pack and reduce my invoice for the difference as the sport pack wasn't available at the time I placed my order and because my order was in lockdown. But to my surprise I got a call earlier this week to inform me they are applying the discount to my order after contacting Audi UK, this is on top of the very generous discount I already got from them!
Hope you get it too and if there is anything I can do to help, just ask.
Tried to get my dealer to amend mine for the sport pack. I had ordered exhaust and mag not tpms , because that wasn't an option either at the time as far as I was aware. Anyway told me order is locked down for build in November so can't change it . Lousy customer service , it wouldn't have been hard for Audi uk to have informed the dealers and then for them to have contacted their customers that were impacted. I presume the dealers get bulletins when new options are available , clearly once they have the order they lose interest . Can't wait for the customer service questionnaire from Audi.
Have you checked the api? I was expecting delivery on 4 March and the api has updated to a week 46 build (13 November)TPMS has always been an option, Audi just forgot to put it on the online configurator, along with Matrix Lights.
I'm 12 weeks away from build, I don't understand why Audi are incapable of amending my order.

Update on trying to amend my order and the response is as follows;
Too late to change I’m afraid, I’ll have a talk with my Manager and see if we can match the price of the Sport Pack on your options, you will still have a tyre pressure monitoring system just not with visual pressures and temperatures.
Our salesman has been liasing with Caitlyn at Audi UK who is a Supply Analyst. A little frustrating as there's no consistency, some people are getting amended orders and or discounts. I'll be pushing for the latter seeing as they're adamant that TPMS can't be added despite the car not going into build until week 3
