Strange Slow Puncture

Just tell them they must have fallen off when you hit the pot hole that cracked the wheels :welcoming:

Yeah you're right. But there's competitive PCP Finance out there. On a side note, I'll be getting into bother in a bit. Didn't expect the Airbag fix so they're gonna flash the ECU and find the valve unplug. Ugh. This could be quite a day.

Quite an 'excitable dealer' this too. Not where I bought the car. If it was my dealer they'd be fine with it and probably show me some more mods whilst I was there.

Annnnnnnd the culprit is...

Nail.

I think the rear might have had this too. Too much of a coincidence lads. Ya know? Especially in that time frame. So winters getting ordered this afternoon.

Oh, and I got a wink "you have a fault code with the exhaust". Hopefully they don't plug it back up.

And they've damaged the rear aero trim on the boot!! So...they told me it was an airbag workshop recall. But it wasn't. It was something to do with the boot aeroblades. They've snapped one and then brought the car round for me to drive away without them. No weather seal.

Obviously they've ordered new ones in but this might be last straw. Second time with this car they've ******** up.

My car is in for it's first service next Monday, I doubt though they'll have many, if any, of those toys...

A few times and never a problem.

Quick dispatch? Guess it's down to each independent garage from that point like Blackcircles. I really prefer tyresonthedrive but they don't stock Nokians.

Love Nokian tyres, had them on the Freelanders and were very very good, might put Nokian summers on next year, I’ve bought 4 wheels with Pirelli winters on for this year.

Shame about the nail but could have been much worse.

Oh absolutely, mate. Very lucky. Just have to take it really steady until tyres are delivered. Not looked into nokian summers. Got some in mind?

I hear good things bout Nokian, my local guy couldn't get them when I bought winters, so went with vredestein - still got them, very good tyres and reasonable price

I've heard of that brand. I think I may have had them on the old S4. I'm sure I did. Summers though. Lasted ages.

Just to ask, if I may, what sort of mileage have you had out of them, mine are down to around 4mm after 6000 miles, I must kerb (scuse pun) my use of the throttle on slip roads.

Correction:

Seems my outgoing Summer Hankooks are at 3mm!! Not 1.8 as I thought. Guess I'm only feeling part of the lip. So that's 16700 miles and still at 3mm. I'm pretty impressed with that.

Nokians fitted.

Superb grip! Like...too much haha. Steering feels light but it's just there's so much grip and turn in it feels like I need to steer less.

Fitter put 3 PSI extra in as he said these need it. Winter conditions? Softer tread? Certainly doesn't feel like they're riding too hard. @DeanoC ?

Guy pulled up next to me in fuel station as I checked tyre pressures and stored them in a gorgeous RS4. Daytona also. Nods of approval all round and I said I can't wait to get mine next year. "A fantastic purchase" was all he said as he got in and fired it up. Anyway. Tangent...

Always impressed me have Nokian tyres, last year they got the Freelander over Hardknot and we had the Langdales pretty much to ourselves, never put a foot wrong.

That is an absolutely cracking photo. You must have felt so good having all that to yourself. They definitely inspire confidence in the slippery leafy type stuff at the moment.

What does it achieve/aid? Apologies if this is a daft question.

I prefer it a bit more solid, more wiggle room if you lose a bit of air and is better if you pick up some bodies and luggage. I also find they wear better too

Is 41/36 not the max for the 19" on S4 Avant? I'm 44/39 and tbh if I let air out, they'd feel very spongey. So cool. Good to know they guy was right. He can get hold most tyres direct which is good. Nokians still pretty rare here.
