I’d give a set of “S” branded dustcaps if this story is for real ;)

Hi Igor, welcome to ASN.

I can't send you any presents but I can give you a very useful tip.....for free.

How about you sell your S3 and buy a much more sensible car, one that you can afford to tune.

And then, when you have finished your studies and got yourself a good job you can go and buy a nice shiny S3 which you can afford to tune to your hearts content.

You're very welcome.

Well even I found the running costs painful, so a penniless student has little hope.

Less mods, more fuel economy. I’m sure somebody would swap you a nice 1.0TFSI engine for the S3 engine, modified and fuel saving.. win win.

Or, I've got a mate who's selling a tidy 51 plate Vauxhall Corsa for £175.00. It's got 2 months MOT left and it's a good runner. Perfect for a student i'd say.

If you can ignore the soiled seats and the smell of old tobacco it's a bargain, just say the word and I'll get you a test drive. Give me a bit of notice though as it sometimes needs jump starting.

I know, I'm too kind.

Fantastic, sometimes the experience and knowledge passed on from this forum can only be labelled as priceless.

Igor, we’ve got you covered.

Inter cooler and intake mods are the least of your worries Igor.

It’s no wonder you got it cheap.

I think you need new tyres, mirrors and some body panels first though.

If a million people each gave me a pound then my dreams would come true also. Sadly life isn’t that simple Igor my old china.

Here’s a better way to get $1000, go get yourself a job and save like the rest of us.

I know, I’m far too kind.

You are right!
But its to hard to study and work at tha same time!

Since when has this forum become a charity?..

Although I must admit if the car looks just as good on the other side you have done a great job restoring it. My advice to you is to buy a TMC, DTUK or JB4 tuning box. That will be the cheapest and easiest horses you can get.

One thought though, how great is your fuel in Ukraine? Are you even able to get 95 RON?

He’ll be asking for us all to chip in for fuel soon anyway so he won’t care what type it is.

If we're going to chip in why not do it porperly and buy an E85 conversion kit at the same time...

***, this is absolutely classic!

I’m wondering how on earth the USA car ended up in Ukraine? How did this happen Igor?

If anybody is open to donate, I’d take contributions to my RS3 deposit for sure..... PayPal details at request :p

You earn $20 a month, it would have taken you 435 months to save to pay for the car, a total of over 36 years. That’s if you didn’t spend a cent.
