EXCITED

My order:

Black Edition
Ibis White (kind of wishing I'd spent a bit extra on metallic now)
19 inch V Spoke
Magnetic Ride
Super Sports Seats
Advanced Key
Tech Pack
Extended Leather
Rear View Camera
Hill Hold Assist
Parking Pack
Black Roof Rails

+ a couple of other things I can't think of.

Couple of questions:

Does anyone happen to have a picture of this specification with the black roof rails? I can't find any online. Also, does anyone have a picture of the advanced key? Finally, does the extended leather interior pack also cover the back door handles, too?

So happy about my purchase, 16 weeks seems like an eternity

Nice spec. Can’t help with the other questions but the Advanced Key looks the same as the standard key.

If you've still got 16 weeks till delivery, you can change the colour of the car. Shouldn't affect your delivery date.

Arggh, that sucks. So it's just the same key flip thing? I always hated Audi keys, too, I was hoping they'd switched to a design like Merc or BMW

Yep, for the A3/S3 it’s the same flip key.

I've just ordered my new S3 too with advanced key. Unless I'm totally off-beam here, I understand that that it refers to a push button start instead of having to insert a key (i.e. you can keep the key in your pocket and not worry about it). Hope that helps!

You can also unlock the car without having to press any buttons. I was just hoping they'd changed the design of the key to something a bit more modern

Go on the used car section of Audi. co.uk, you'll definitely see white S3's with black roof rails there, the exterior spec is irrelevant as roof rails are exactly that, again a lot of people don't like them and a lot do, l am one of them who really does like them

Did you enter the 800 miles from your postcode in the search function or the post pics of your facelift thread..... Hundreds of cars on that thread mate

If you want metallic then change it pronto - you don't want to end up regretting it for the whole time you have the car.

Nice spec but brace yourself for the horrendous £450 annual road tax :(

Not sure what you mean by Parking Pack exactly but, if it's the Driver Assistance pack then I'd consider ditching that if you need the dosh for the paint - most of it's a waste of time IMHO.

I found one! It wasn't there yesterday, I think it must've been one of the ones awaiting photos. Thanks for the idea, I wouldn't have gone back otherwise

I'm going to stick with the paint, it's 500 quid. If someone offered to pay me 500 quid to take white, I'd do it, that's the way I look at it. The parking pack I'm not too sure of, they force you to take it if you choose the rear view camera option. I didn't even look at what it was to be honest, I'm assuming it's just a posh way to name the sensor array or something.

Fair enough, if you like the white then stick with it, I just meant don't go with a colour you don't want for the sake of £500. In the scheme of the overall cost, it's nothing and you'll be paying that every year in tax anyway :)

I like my options as well as most mate, having had a high spec Sport back S3 previously and now this car l have now, my advice is to delete the white and go for a classy metallic or pearlescent paint..... A Colour really does make a car, Daytona and Navarra look **** hot in black edition form more than white does in lieu of keyless it's GASH and not worth the cost

The key fob design is just standard, it’s correct you get the ‘start button’ on centre console in RED, as for opening / locking the doors, just place your hand next to the exterior door handle and you will hear the electronic lock operate it’s then just a matter of pulling the door open. For locking it when parked up, exit the car, close the doors and again just place your hand close to the handle you will hear the locks operate again.

You gave a great spec there but why no Pano roof? The black glass roof really adds some great contrast to the car, especially a white one.

I disagree here, my daughter has the Black Edition FL S3 in the pearlescent white and it’s a stunner, I have the FL S3 in Daytona (not BE) and put both side by side and the white wins every time. Admit the Daytona is a stunning colour but in our UK climate unless it’s kept immaculate and the sun is shining it can seem pretty dull at times. The white one even when dirty still looks good. Just my opinion of course.

I also disagree. Lighter paints or black look good with black edition. Dark colours like Daytona and Navarro contrast so well with chrome.

Agree with first bit, but not the second... white is horrible one day after a wash, whereas Daytona stays looking good regardless if it is filthy. I have had two white cars now and can't see myself getting another one! Too hard to keep clean.

It's the tiniest niggle for me, I still love the white. I've always held the notion that Audi's look amazing in white, due to the angular design. The keyless entry is essential for me as I've had it on every car this decade. I'm just too used to being able to keep the key in my pocket.

Arrgghh, so gutted that it's just a standard key. Silly really, because I'll never even look at it, but still, you think for an S model audi would've jazzed things up a bit.

The roof would've cost an extra 40 quid a month. I had it on my c63, and I used it a couple of times a month at most. Plus on the Audi, it's really only "panoramic" from the outside. From inside, it's still just a tiny little opening. Bit of a con, really..

Yeah it's smaller on the inside of the car but it's a small car and it's more than enough light into the cabin, l could never buy a car again without a Pan Roof, but Audi's keyless entry is a bit half ***** plus.... The other downside to it which we won't go into lol
