MY2018 S5 Sportback.......

Coming home this evening, had the head lights on dipped, pushed the stalk to throw them onto full beam and nothing happened.
Then I happened to notice the symbol on the dash that said "Auto".
By chance, I hit a dark area and next minute the full beams come on. A car comes round the corner and the lights drop back to dipped.

Never actually realised the S5 came with the High Beam Assist....assumed it was an extra that fell under some other option.

Over the last month or two I do recall trying to put the beams onto full and wondering why the first push of the stalk did nothing, and I had to push the stalk again.

The car that keeps on giving :)

Mind you, my wife said that maybe its like "PPI" .... you've paid for something without realising.........

I also just realized there was a cool little glovebox just to the outside on the drivers side. Quite handy!

Yes, I too found the headlights on my S5 has hi beam assist.
Is it activated by pushing the lever forward or always active when the lights are in Auto?
I didn't see the word Auto, only a blue hi beam or small dip beam symbol.

I have my headlight switch set to Auto, and then on the stalk I give it one push forward and the white Auto symbol appears on the dash.
That’s it set.
If I push it forward again, I get the blue Symbol on the dash and my beam is on full.

Tried it again tonight, seems you have to push the lever fwd to activate each time you start it.
I saw the auto this time too.
One other thing, Google Earth has stopped working (again) on the SatNav for the last few days, I thought the connection was free on all S5's?
