AO09 NNN Audi RS3 Project

Haha, you're too fast! I've just updated the post again!

Thanks for the detailed log. This is helpful. I was going with eventuri just for the sound for FL RS3 as I do not expect much performance gain from intake with no other perf mod.

But nice to know it sure performs better than other market options. :)

Incredible detail and a great read.

Car looking awesome at Knockhill,

Full setup on this car is just awesome now. Went through half a tank of fuel, came off for a break, went back on and depleted all the fuel. No brake fade whatsoever, really cool to be able to just go round and round without issue. Need a bigger fuel tank now.. Lol!

So the car is now for sale, end of an era.

I won't be moving away from an iron block 5 cylinder however.

Any serious enquiries please get in touch! Not turning this into a for sale post but car as is will be £50,000.

Thank you to all who kept up with my build thread and I can't wait to bring you the next.

Aoon

TTRS for your next car?!

Aoon, just wanted to ask a question. I’m looking to get virtual cockpit retrofitted in my s3 saloon. But I was told that the mileage will be different on my VC. Wanted to know how I can keep track of my mileage or if there is anyway to get the mileage changed on the VC.

Thanks
Asif

Returned the car stock? Think I noticed you driving without VC

Returned to stock - surely not Aoon - that is like Jesus turning back into Joseph and reverses reality

Is this not a car worthy of ‘museum-ship’ in its world record and modded state for a multitude of reasons? ....and I don’t mean because Aoon founded the solution to our ‘brake squeal’ that Audi claim to know nothing about

....well at least we all now know how Superman felt when kryptonite took his powers!

Aoon we all salute you and welcome your next move on the forthcoming TTRS with excitement and appreciation of your exaggeration and expectation beyond belief!

In our world, you are both a legend and a genius, and in between them both you definitely did things to gain that kudos that most of us wouldn’t dare think of, let alone trial, test, develop and deliver on.

They say there is a fine line between a madman and a genius, but throughout your journey you have answered your critics and inspired those luddites like me and are certainly the latter.

To be in a position to own such a car so young, already puts you in a fairly exclusive club that many would envy. To then change her after a few short weeks and trade her for an almost identical model - albeit for one with a panoramic roof - to some would be considered insane and even more so in Scotland! But as we got to know you, it became clear you had a plan far greater than the rest of us with only our sports exhausts and SS seats who were only tempted with non abrasive mods like down pipes and matt black grill rings that kept our warranties in tact but made us feel different if not mental

To ashthetically, mechanically and methodically take an almost perfect car to bits and creatively push its boundaries and physical abilities in almost every count - when collectively you could have easily opted for something considered a step up - certainly caught my attentions Aoon.

Then to document your every move step by step with your own articulate insight, modesty and engineering knowledge indeed made it almost impossible to critique.

Most of us would be overwhelmed with a stage 1, the elite club with a stage 2, the insane few with a stage 3 - but to defy the laws of Audi and bring the likes of steering wheels, virtual dash’s, key-fob’s, orange DRL’s, R8 GT ceramics amongst tonnes of other stuff a reality - and for both fun and because you can - makes you both unique and a genius in my and 600/670 bhp makes you that madman too!

Site Mods - I’ve been on this site for years and met many many like minded people who keep our brand alive with a ‘sparkle’ of entertainment, vision, guidance and advice - but if any post deserves a ‘sticky’ status on our section or beyond it is this thread of Aoon’s.

PS. Thanks for the memories Aoon.

Whilst we never met, we stay only a few miles from each other and let me give you an example of what that’s like ....

Having had many Audi’s - like many of us....

..... you know that feeling when you pull up to the lights in your brand new RS3 and feel amazing - and even more so when the guy next to you in the other lane, driving the same plate S3, pulls up saying to his missus “that’s the car I should have bought” - well that’s how I felt when I could hear you, let alone see you pull up next to me in my already ‘modded’ 8V!

So to save face - almost daily - I traded her for my beloved TTRS FL of now only week’s new.....and now that you’ve dissolved your RS3 masterpiece I already have mine up for sale....and my house

Look forward to reading your next thread...

Blimey, get down on those knees!

Re the braking issues, I'd argue @Hal Adams first discovered the true cause of brake squeal...

However, Aoon is pretty handy with the technical aspects of our cars!

No, do not give me any credit! I only trot out the two basic issues that have been long published by those in the know!

This has been a great experience to read and see.
Haven't been here for a while. Did you sell the RS3?
Can someone please repeat the brake solution fix? Can't seem to find it.
Thanks

Given that he expected the stock internals to fail its good luck to the next owner should a warranty claim arise

The trouble with it is that it has been so well publicised on social media you tube and all the other ones on how powerful it is you would be going in to the sale with eyes fully opened with cocktail sticks. A car of that statue would only apply to a small select group of buyers and to be fair to the owner everything as been fully documented on the build. Would I have purchased it when I was looking for my one, not on your nelly. Just my honest opinion.
