A4 Avant parcel shelf

Hi,
I've had the car just over a week now, ex Audi UK car 66 plate 3.0 tdi avant 272, 7,000 miles on purchase.
I've noticed on occasion the rear shelf does not come back down when the tailgate is closed, other times all is well.
Frustrating because if I don't notice it (and raise & reclose the tailgate) then the lower half of the view out the rear is obscured.
Anyone else having this issue ?

Yes this has happened to me a couple of times since picking my S4 up a couple of weeks ago, just seems to get stuck!

Not sure there's a fix for it but I'll monitor it before speaking to my dealer.

Doesn't seem that well designed does it.

Btw how's the big engine diesel - I bet that torque could pull a tree down?

It's ace, but coming from a c350 its the quatttro that makes oh so stealthy and subtle that's the big win for me, even with virtual brake assist sitting next to me

Firs dealer where I bought it from could not sort it, they just lubricated the guides and it failed to close when I picked the car up, NFI..!
However, sorted by a different dealer under warranty FOC, invoice says they did a software update.
