Mate's son's house got broken into last night, Stevenston, Ayrshire.

Barstewards took anything of valve, including the above car.

Mate doesn't know the exact colour, except it's Grey.

If anyone spot's this S5, can you contact your local Police.

Cheers

JG

Scum bags!!
It's like we have gone back to the early 90's but instead of a screwdriver in your ignition lock it's not a screwdriver in your front door!!! Where your most prized possessions are ' YOUR FAMILY' there should be severe punishment for entering a dwelling house but as a society we are to soft and even worse toooo scared to say soooooo. Pity...

Hope the family are ok

My 2p rant over

I'd think that if it is out and about, the plates will have been changed by now. Friends lost their Golf MK5 and newish A6 Avant last year same way. The Golf seems to have turned up 3 months later judging by what became a stream of parking tickets that started to appear through the letter box, followed by heavy threats of action! They contacted the local police to stop that as the insurance company now owned that car! (both cars had been used to block in taxis and steal their cash after they had been taken from the house, then the Golf had been parked up and abandoned in Edinburgh which was only 10 miles from where it was taken!). A week ago the A6 turned up in Lanarkshire, this car, with different reg plates had been reported as being left abandoned for a long time, so the police got involved and checked its VIN, now they need some fingerprints and asked if the guy wanted to see his car, which he does not now but he would like to know what the mileage currently is - don't think the police are willing to hand over that info as it would reveal just how much use this car has had after it has been stolen as so put them in poor light?

Thanks Sandra, they were away on holiday at the time, so yes they're fine, although both are devastated that this has happened.

Think the cars will be long gone.

I agree, the plates etc will have been changed, if it's still in the country.

Don't think I would want the cars back if it was me, god knows how they would have been treated.

Disclosing the VIN on this forum might help, as I've said the plates will have been changed, but as it is a public forum maybe they don't want to have that VIN shown, but it might help solve this one?

I don't think he would want the VIN shared, to tell you the truth, I'd be surprised if he wanted the car back now.

Not anywhere near you but will keep my eyes open, just encase.

Good luck with the recovery.
