Bought a set of red air vent rings to see if they will add a bit of suitable colour to the interior. Have placed them just to see what I think but can’t quite decide if they look good or “tacky”.

Any thoughts people?

I think they are a bit markite, I'm personally not a fan but there are many who like them especially if they have the red stitching etc.

Yeah I tend to agree. Return it is! Thanks folks.

How about the chrome/allum ones mate? i quite like them. If i look back at my photos i took of my A3 before i got them, i feel quite happy with how they look. The red looks nice but like others have said, i think you need the red stitching to contrast with it.

Couple of fotos here for you with the chrome rings. Personally think it looks ok.

I think that you answered your own question by asking the question :)

Yes you’re probably right. But it doesn’t hurt to get a few opinions.

I've got to say they have definitely put me off I'm afraid. Not that I am saying yours are not good for you. Just don't think they are for me now.

They do look nice (to me). Might consider doing the paint mod. Read the how to the other day. Did you find it easy?

My numero uno dislike of the A3's interior is the faux chrome air vent rings that you use to open and shut the vents....tacky to be honest....tip black or carbon inlays would help in conjunction these colour coded air vent embellisments

Joined the red air vent club today instead following the awesome tutorial: How To - Red RS3-Style Air Vents (in the FAQs if you want to follow it)

A few pictures for you. Not great as a bit too sunny but look good IMO

Tacky. Hideous.

It’s only my opinion, if you like them then all good.

Are you taking about the rings? Then I agree. If you’re talking about the vents, gotta say I don’t. But each to their own dude

Don't the new RS3's come with the air vent rings like that though? Except on the other ring?
