For anyone looking for a potential replacement to VAG COM, this might interest you. I was pleasantly surprised at the functionality of this software. Here's my overview. Figured this would be useful to anyone thats looking to perform easy software mods on their A3/S3/RS3.

If it's capable of telling me how many launch controls my car has done, I'm in.

Don't think it does that. Would be nice if it did though.
It's supposedly not possible on the 8V, even with a VCDS. It was possible on the 8P but the value isn't there/readable on the 8V. :-(

Great video. Thanks for that :)

Can you deactivate the side airbags? I am fitting buckets soon.

Two months in and I'm still waiting for my dongle to arrive.

OBDEleven doesn't do half the things VCDS does, if anything was to replace VCDS or work along side it would be VCP (imo!).

I've had ODBEleven Pro for a few months now. After the initial hiccup with them sending me a faulty plug in application it works seamlessly now.

Enabled the Scandinavian rear LEDs so they're on automatically. Great for checking faults however i apparently have two and i've no idea what they are yet.

A little scared to go at it too hard though incase a break something but it does have a nice backup log function to link back to what changes you made (i think with the pro version only)

Finally got my dongle!

Promptly enabled Google Earth maps and it'a definitely nice to have. I'd forgotten but that was actually a selling point of the car for me (before I realized it wasn't available in my region).

I also tried enabling the Audi heartbeat sound when you turn the car on and off, like your get on the R8 and some TTs. It only works on startup and there's no menu option to increase the volume so it's barely audible.

OBDeleven is a nice little thing to have though. IMO the Google map overlays alone are worth the cost of the dongle and the pro app.

I think (as a novice who's looked at both so not definitive) that with the "pro" version, which enables long coding, there isn't much at all that obdeleven can't do that you'd need / want it to.

Don't get too excited as Audi are more than likely to drop Google Earth overlay at the end of 2017! It's been covered by another thread but the official line is that Streetview is definitely going and there is only a 60% chance that Google Earth will remain. VW have confirmed that they are dropping it but Audi have yet to make their mind up. Another forum member says that his display no longer shows Google Earth option so it may be coming to us all.

That's unfortunate, hopefully they don't get around to FL cars for a while.

Street View always seemed useless to me, I can just look out the window and see the same thing. :D

I couldn't get any of the modifications to work on my FL S3. It just wouldn't transfer the info to the vehicle for some reason. The only thing that I got to work was the exhaust flap mod.

I have heard that it works very well on the Pre FL models. I just can't recommend it for the FL models.

What didn't work for you? Everything I tried on my 2018 RS3 seemed to work.

Can you possibly link us to that? Wonder if its available for the A3 8V.

Ive no idea if you can get the driver mirror to dip as well but only the passenger mirror dips if you have it fitted as a factory option.

I love the OBDeleven, the only thing im gutted about is originally i bought it to unlock the video in motion, it wouldn't do it on my 2017 8V, apparently its not possible :wtf:
Everything else ive tried is great, I also have a Carista too, thats not bad either.

Looking to get a Carista for my 8V S3 2014 would you recommend? Thanks
