Hi all,

So some may know, picked up my S3 a fortnight ago, and as I didn't buy from my local dealership I said to the salesman I would just head into my local one (where all be getting it serviced) in order to sort out service plans to which he agreed and said he would do the same.

Now, I just got home from my local dealership after being told Audi won't offer service plans on S models. You what?!

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm sure I've seen plenty of people on here with service plans for their S3's?

I was never offered one, I get on so well with the girl who done my sale if it was available I'd have been offered one.

They stopped offering them a while ago for some reason.

Bizarre, wonder why
No idea... I was convinced it was my local dealership being awkward but when I contacted Audi UK they also said none were available until my car was 3 years old.

On Saturday was quoted £27.99/month or £1300 for 4 year service only plan (if added to order before registration) by my dealer. Other options including tyres are also available. S3 now at Emden, decisions to be made.....Mmmm.

P.S. Audi plan, so can be used at any dealer

What annual mileage are you doing? £1300 sounds a bit steep - surely you'd only need a couple of services in 4 years?

Still talking about a car service? Lol..

I was under the impression that these service plans never offered any real value for money anyway...?

Largely just a way to force you to budget for the services on a monthly basis.

I got such widely different quotes for the same service by local dealers, that I would question whether it actually made you pay more!

Really, mine, at £9.56 per month over three years, I feel is very good value for money and cheaper than our fiesta...

15k miles a year.
My only pay-out for the next 4 years would be TIFF (Tax, Insurance, Fuel, Finance.)

Stand corrected!

Yea that is decent. Reminds me of this deal they had on 3yr old cars, where you could buy a minor and major service for £299. Effectively getting the minor service for free.

I was gobsmacked when they told me the monthly cost of my A4, so much so I actually told them to check again, they stated the figure was set by Audi Finance. My A3 1.4 was costing me around £16 per month, which was £8 a month cheaper than my ford focus was...
