Hi all, as the title says im planing to convert my b7 from FWD to AWD and here is why.
My 2.0t b7 is rear in my country there ia only 3 or 4 we have a lot of 1.8t and 2.0NA.
There is also 3 b7 Quattros and none of them are for sale.
I have access to a 3.2 Quattro i can use for parts.
My question is I know its been done on Manual gearbox but has it ever been done from multitronic to tiptronic?
Will the v6 gearbox fit the 2.0t?

If u could be more informative about your plans that would be nice...

I dont think so...u gonna need the engine too

Where are you based? I'd imagine it would be easier to put a fwd engine in a quattro shell, most the 2.0t's are fwd whichever country you go. Quattro is better in pretty much every way shape and form but I'm interested in your reasons for wanting this, do you live in a cold climate or are you looking for big power?

No personal experience but I'd think a b6 1.8t would be a close match?

Im in Jordan, we do have our snowy days but not an enough reason to have an AWD. Im looking for a bit more power and stability and the multitronic is killing me. I come from an AWD manual gearbox Toyota Celica which btw i converted.
My "plan" is to either get a totalled Quattro from the US and move the parts to my car, or to find the parts locally. I want to keep it automatic so ill be moving to the tiptronic.
Now for the financial reasons in Jordan you're not allowed to import a 10 year old car and if I were to get the b8 the custom rates would be so high.

Ah right cool, Audizine is a more popular forum in the US and might be a better place to help sourcing the parts, sounds like your along the right lines of what you need.

I have never seen anyone going from multitronic to tiptronic. TCU conectors are different, TCU locations are diferent, trans cooler lines etc...
