Havent even got my Saloon yet but already looking at tunes.
I noticed this is out and nearly out for the saloon.
Looks gorgeous, hopefully opens up even more noise from the engine, and gives extra 20bhp. Hopefully even more with a tune.

Quite fancy next year to be running 500bhp in the saloon.

Remap ecu on stage 1? How far do you think that would take it?

Anyone else got any plans to push the engine a little more?
Local tuner are getting extra 100bhp out my s5 model just now so hoping they can do wonders with the rs3

TTRS gets to 500hp with just decat, IC and map. No reason why FL RS3 should be any different.

Any idea how much on average that package is
Wonder what it does to 0-60 And 1/4 mile times with 500bhp

Not far off rs6 territory then

You'll surely be seeing close to 3s flat to 60mph.

Decat is cheap at £180 or so however some of the FL's don't seem to have the rear cats anyway! IC is about £1k to buy then a few hours to fit so say £1200. No idea on map but if it takes half a day to map the perhaps another £500-1000? Not a lot really for 500hp.

Yes, £2000 will get you 500bhp and there's not much around that will keep up with that on our slippery UK roads.

The real cost could be if your engine and/or gearbox go bang and Audi reject the warranty claim!

Seems a strong engine though @D0C has even one gone "bang" after a relatively mild tune? In saying that mine is not mapped cos of warranty worries :tearsofjoy:

Oh I don't think if an engine and/or gearbox etc did go pop that it would be because of the map. But Audi would surely claim it was and reject paying for any repairs. I would dearly love to let MRC loose with my car. I need some more brave pills first!

Would be nice to get decent extra power without intercooler swaps as they are easy to notice whereas remap is easier to hide a lot

What map is that? The "old" got only approx 430hp with these mods and this new engine isn't 70hp stronger from the beginning or is it?

It seems to tune better and you apparently get more out of a map.

Imho Audi have detuned the engine so that it doesn't compete with RS5 eg it would normally run say 450 "out the box". Although it is about the same power as the old one as standard it seems to tune really well to at least 50hp more.

I agree with TX, I hope it's artificially low and can tune higher easily
Like when Audi brings out their performance editions
AMG get what370 out a 2litre 4,so easy to Think extra 2 cylinders and half litre could get more

Ok, I have to compete with some of these fl guys than. For the moment I have a filter and "tunebox" + catback. That shouldn't be enough for the fl, will see?

1 extra cylinder!!!

You can tell if an engine is pegged back as it has an artificially flat torque curve.

Be good to get a standard one on the dyno
Who's got their facelift yet
??? :)

Mine will be going on once it’s run in, but we won’t be seeing that until December unfortunately.

Manual says 1000km/600miles.

With my S3 I kept it under 4000rpm for one tank (300 miles), then went to the red line but not constantly and after 500 miles I gave it some.

I plan on running the RS in a little longer, but I can’t see it happening haha.

Although those bench figueres doesn't really mean so much unless you don't have two cars from both fl and prefl to compare at the same day to get it right otherwise its just guidelines. After that it should be interesting to see what the same tune gives and how much better the fl is and hearing from others how good it is it should fly past the prefl, lets wait and see.

Sounds like we need to organise a RR session with a few cars
Who's up for it

I would be. Providing it's towards the middle of the UK!
I think Glasgow sounds pretty central "Central belt" :)
Also very close to a popular APR remapper who will be doing the RS3 very soon so they say.
I dynod my S5 on it and it got bang on the money so I trust their rollers

Too far for me!

I was looking to arrange one in South Wales, normally £40 a car for two power runs with a reasonable sized group but didn’t expect much interest.

I fitted a Wagner IC, Miltek from turbo back, Revo intake and Revo Stage II to my 2016. It does go rather quick now but seems a bit slower below 3K rpm. I was told it should be pushing out around 470 bhp now.

I welcome your comments

If I am interpreting your post correctly, you have all the right bits fitted (not cheap either) but didn't have them optimised by the tuner on a dyno?
An HPFP can help with low speed torque if it's deemed to be needed (fuelling at low rev range will show it)

IMO 470bhp (equates to 476ps) would be optimistic from a car running the standard turbo with safe boost levels, especially if you are running pump fuel. 450ps would be a more realistic number although I have seen some dyno charts with power creeping into the 460+ area when running race fuel and downpipe.

I run the car on Shell V power all the time obviously. I am a little disappointed with the fuel consumption, when driving in normal (slow) round town I am definitely using more fuel and at 70 on the M/way the fuel consumption is way worse than it was before the mods.

Wouldn't a HPFP increase fuel consumption even more?

I would like to put it on a dyno at some point but at the moment I don't know of a reputable garage around Lancashire area.

Being a Revo Stage II this won't be "tweekable" is that correct?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am not sure if REVO maps can be tweaked, maybe worth contacting their HQ and ask.
A HPFP helps the engine with fuel supply for high torque demand at lower engine speeds. Some owners fit them at stage 2 level of tune but not all engines necessarily need it - it should show up on a diagnostic run. Diagnostics showed my fuelling at stage 2 to be marginal but I opted to have the HPFP fitted just to be on the safe side.

On a motorway run at a constant speed of around 75mph I see approx 34 to 35mpg. Drop to 70 and below and it goes up to 36.5mpg. When using the power it drops to mid twentys, when giving it the full beans............I really don't have a clue cos I certainly ain't looking at the fuel gauge!

I wrote to REVO about 4 days ago but I've had no reply !

To be honest your fuel figure are not far off what I'm seeing.

For what it’s worth I see low twenty’s around town and upto 35+ on a motorway run seems about right to me given the performance and size of fuel tank
