Hey, I have a problem with my Audi A4 B6 2.0 with multitronic (2001). The RPM of the engine is not constant. This is happening when driving at a constant speed, and when accelerating, mainly under 2000 RPM. The range in RPM is about 50 RPM.

Run Vag-com on it, and let us know what codes come up, if any. It could be something as simple as a dirty MAF. Try unplugging it and running under the same conditions, and see if it still does it.

There are not any codes from the computer. I will try to unplug the sensor today.

It has improved a lot now, but it is not perfect. Should I clean the sensor?

Try cleaning the MAF first using isopropyl alcohol or electrical cleaner spray as they won't leave any residue. If it's not any better replace the MAF sensor.
