lol every paint looks different in different light.
Ironically I find floret looks best on a cloudy overcast day ... that is when you get to see the dark shade of the silver.
Yeah the McLaren looks immense doesn't it & really shows off the paint to great effect

Aye that's the default colour some arrive with when Audi **** up mate
Correct! They also shave £7k off when you choose default... that way when youve had enough a year later, you can sell it for more than you bought it for, sell all the bits and end up with an RS3 saloon in the colour you originally requested, with the required deposit you wouldnt of originally had, the same monthly payments and another blank canvas to tune the **** out of!!@Craig Cull for example with his absolute beast of a manual!
But in the mist of all that, gain a reputation for your company, the first hybrid stage 3 fl saloon in europe, a magazine feature (for the 2nd time) and have a **** load of fun the process.

Also if l travel all the way down to London to find any faults etc etc, l won't be accepting it either
Believe me, this time i said i wont be accepting it regardless. It really is a deal breaker. But seens i had sold my RS4 and my cars play a big part in my business image, and the 7k carrot was dangled, i thought, ill take it. Plus my daughter was due any day and i wasnt letting her have her first journey home in a taxi. So that played a big part in my decision. Fortunately things have worked out in my favour and i get a 2nd opportunity. Sometimes digging your heels in and creating a scene with people who we do alot of business with, isnt the way forward. Sometimes you've got to take a step back and use it to your advantage.

Plus white isnt that much of a boobie prize. I actually really really like the car. The RS3 better live upto expectations as well. Not much can touch the awful ibis white S3 on the road.. infact i even contemplated offering it to west yorkshire police as they would actually be able to catch someone

Its ********. Main problem mine turned up in white was the exclusive option wasnt available. The car was one of the first ordered and the configurator wasnt complete. The dealer then said just to choose any colour and they would add it. So i said it wont turn up in ibis will it. They said no.. (wrong)
Difference this time round is all is selected and confirmed. The car will arrive the correct colour. No such thing as an Audi default colour lol

I saw the video and fell in love, thought about the mods i wantes and the cost. Looked at some figures and said... make me an offer i cant refuse.
Car cost me £500 which was my initial security deposit. I had a smiling drive away in a brand new S3 saloon for £500.

Its almost like it was meant to happen, as they told me there was no announcement for a saloon RS3, so ive orderes it in Riviera Blue which is the colour the S3 was meant to arrive in. So things could be worse. I get to look forward to it all over again, but also shown what we can do. The RS3 wont dissapoint when we have finished with it!I can imagine it now

If the whole myth is based on my experience then yeah its a myth. If theres more experience where others have had the same issue, then i guess it has some form of existence. But i think its all based round my experience. I cant imagine a well spec'd car would turn up for everyone, only issue being ibis white lol.

It happens more than you think,my son told me on several occasion's that customers who ordered cars in exclusive colours turned up....in another colour,it wont happen with mine's the sales guy got confirmation from Audi UK....before ordering the car,obviously this is where other sales peeps went wrong,when l initially enquired about exclusive colours they were not available back April.....they only came back online in the middle of May....

All down to dealer error though and i dont think that ibis is the colour that people receive as a... here you go have that one. Its just the first option on the list so if your told your getting an exclusive colour your not going to think any different. Really why should you as these guys run the show. The S3 was the first new car ive ever purchased so i had no reason to think any different. Wish id have know though i would have chosen red. Still probably still sold up now though lol. The biggest failure for me was "RS3 Saloons arent being released" i wouldnt have bought the S3 in the first place. Id have waited for the RS3. Crazy world lol

RS3 doesnt make sense in my life mate....wanted one 2 years ago.....not now.....No regrets.....hope you've gone Pano-Roof as a contrast.....Too much...blue is sore on the eyes....lol

Yeah pan roof as i have that on the S3 and cant live without it. Black pack, factory tints. Basically the same as the S3 but blie and an RS3. No real noticeable difference other than the colour (if it turns up that way
