Front side lights as DRL

Anyone know how I can have my front side lights on like DRLs even if the lights switch is off without directly wiring then up to an accessory power point. Can I use vagcom or something? If its not possible id have my front fogs on as eels but lightly dimmer than usually operating brightness.

On my 8P I had the dipped beam coded to be on when switch is at off position and engine is operating so I assume same can be done with sidelights.

Take a look at Carista (iphone/Android app) and the OBD dongle at eBay or Amazon.

For your car, assuming it's an 06 from your profile pic, then take a look at the 'Customisations' here http://www.caristaapp.com/vehicle/Audi/A3/S3 (Mk2: 2004-2009)/2006

I see Carista is only £9.99 on Amazon at the moment - bargain!
