Still no joy

Nice idea Audsmart but i have owned this for 6 years and had a 3.2 Quattro A3 before for 5 years :) so i know what they should sound like.
Should hear today about cost.
Flea bay is full of these things for £500 but then i have a really nice looking unit with 50k miles on it i could put on flea bay for £500 :)
There are some on there from breakers, one with 22k miles but you cant prove it and what happened to it. In a front end did the shock go down the prop shaft into the haldex ?, in a side impact did the shock go up a drive shaft into the output bearing ? I think its most likely the output bearing i have trouble with now.
lol fair enough mate, but that 3.2 roar and you soon forget any other sounds a car makes, bet you miss it.

The 3.2 was the ultimate A3, They should have turbo it instead of the S3 but it would have been quicker than the S4 so they couldnt.

Dont know if this is any help Paddy but a guy in Carnoustie is breaking a A3 bkd quattro 117k on the clock .its on gumtree if thats any help

Thanks ch
I bit the bullet and ordered a new one £3600..........Dont want to go to the expense of buying an old one finding its no better than mine and having to get it taken off again.
Audi are just ********. My prop shaft rubber coupling has split....Audi want £1300 for a new prop shaft. they said they don't sell the rubber. I have now found a company on line selling coupling for £150+vat

I would be inclined to change the propshaft donut first as these can causes all sorts of noises and vibrations if they are split.

I see where you are coming from but we had the car running at 30mph on the ramps and went round with a stethoscope underneath and we kept coming back to the NS output bearing

And Audi wonder why people don't take there cars along to them anymore ridiculous prices they charge , i used to swear by them until they gave me a bill off just under £100 for an auto scan and then wanted to charge heaps off dosh to fix problem so now my local mechanic has gained .
Well lets hope you find out the problem and get a soloution cause this is going to be as long as some off the big builds lol.

Right.........£4656 later and i now have a quiet diff....just gotta stop the ****** engine management light coming on now. Still its done nearly 60k miles...............thats quite a lot for an audi :)

Hopefully once i recover from the shock i can start having some fun with the car rather than headaches. I keep looking at CAI kits but the deeper i dig the more problems i seem to uncover, maybe i am looking to hard :)

I can only speak for the ITG kit and i noticed it isn't any different from stock on saving fuel ( get a mile or so more but not heaps ) but i don't have it mapped yet and by that time Paddy i think you will have bought one
