Hi all, thought I would put my first post in the 8V section. Will shortly be taking delivery of my 14 plate 1.8TFSI S-Tronic S-Line A3 sportback. Moving over from the 8P club having owned an 07 plate 2.0tdi Sport for the last 5 years.

Cheers. Been an Audi sport member for many years but obviously been on the 8P forum for that time.

What did you have / now have?

Had a 2004 A3 8P 2.0 TDI which I kinda destroyed by remapping myself (lots of post about that and the replacement of almost the whole engine). :D Now I own a 2017 A3 1.6 TDI which I absolutely love. If I could change anything on it, it would be to go with S-Tronic and 2.0 TDI / 1.5 TFSI instead of 1.6 TDI, but 1.6 TDI has amazing economy so far.

As soon as your car arrives we expect pictures! :)

Some pictures as promised... treated to a wash, super resin polish and high gloss protector.

Cheers!

Got to get a few more goes of Autosol on the exhaust tips yet but ran out of patience today!

Also having a think about hubs and edges of brake discs as they have a fair bit of rust on them. Discs, pads and calipers are in good working order but visually they are annoying me!

Welcome to the 8v sub section, great looking car RL, brakes annoy me also. My calipers are not too bad however the disc corrosion keeps catching my eye, think I'll wait until I fit new discs and treat them prior to fitting, if I can wait that long.

Yeah I am likely to do the same I suspect.

Undertook the air vent mod last week. There’s a separate thread but thought I would add a couple of pics here.

Where did you get the Quattro vents from? Are they easy to fit?

From your photo I think you've fitted your accelerator pedal upside down. I did the same when I first fitted my covers.

EDIT - just ignore my rubbish above. They are correct - sorry.

No worries! You can’t fit it wrong anyway due to the way it slots around the existing plastic pedal. It just simply won’t fit
