Boot poppers

some years ago I had a mk5 golf gti which had a boot popping mod fitted this when opening the boot from the key fob the boot popped and then lifted up /opened on its own.
Is there a kit for my Audi A3 2010?
I've looked and can't seem to find one
 
Some people have tried it but I've read worrying reports of strut brackets being distorted over time on the A3 chassis.
 
Not sure how uprated gas struts and the poppers could distort the chassis ?
Audi chassis are always pretty strong
 
ive read too that they deform something on the doors, making it rattle after some time when the boot is closed, which i find extremely annoying to even try

because the strut pushes against the boot door when its closed
 
That's a good find but dosnt mention the poppers so not sure they come with?
 
It says the springs are built-in. (Poppers). If you look at the magnified picture, you can see the sealed-in spring.
 
I would be interested in this. I can't see how it would damage the chassis etc.
What could possibly go wrong
 
Oh come on guys, he said it can damage the brackets on the A3 chassis, not damage the chassis :)

lol not the chasis, but it deforms the actual door or something like that because the pressure on the strut is way higher than the regular one. pushing it against the frame of the boot.

i grabbed this picture from a golf forum where some guys where complaining about the mod

i wouldnt risk my paint for trying that. i simply wish there was a different method :(

the only issue I have with these is the pressure it exerts on the ball bracket. Many have tried similar modifications with some having initial luck but no long term follow up and some having distortion on the ball frame. I'm out
