Audi Driver International 16th September 2017 (Discussion Thread)

Am I doing something daft ??... When I click the link it gives the ticket choice options to select quantity, then takes you through to entering your personal details. Where is the drop down box for club selection and password entry ?

Mine didn't work either after several attempts, it used to be the first thing you see. I just paid without selecting the club, tickets have arrived.

Looking forward to attending this time, due to my A5 being stolen the week before AITP!

What do you have now? I missed this with not being on the A5 section, what happened?

It must not be working again. Don't worry you will still get your tickets :)

Yes you can take a passenger in the car, helmet be required and also a £10 charge for passenger.

Just spoke to them and I must say @ £45 for only 15mins track time sounds a bit pricey for using your own equipment and on top off that, your mate who rolls to the show in your car has to pay an extra £10 in addition to their entry fee to jump in your car on the track! :wtf:

Jason, there will be no other make or model of car apart from Audi on this years track sessions. That decision has been made and that comes direct from autometrix. If you have booked your track ticket Jason you should get in touch with autometrix directly to ask them personally rather than risk turning up on the day and not being allowed on track. The aim this year and for each forthcoming year is to generate a lot of specific Audi noise around ADI to make it more exclusive.

Ok Sandra, I'll check with them but I'll be well pi$$sed off bearing in mind I told them it was a Seat when I booked it and again when I emailed the indemnity form back on Monday night!!!

ADI website: (http://www.audidriverinternational.co.uk/track-time)

Audi Driver International provides the ideal opportunity for Audi enthusiasts to drive their road cars at high speed on the famous Castle Combe race circuit.

As well as the excitement of exploring the full performance potential of your car in a controlled environment, you can also carry a front seat passenger (must be aged 17 or over) to share the experience. Separate track sessions are also available for owners of other Volkswagen Group cars ( VW, SEAT Skoda, Porsche etc )

Many of the specialist tuning companies also offer fast-lap passenger rides around the circuit in their demo cars. Yet to be confirmed, but we usually also have a well-known racing driver giving passenger rides around the circuit.

In addition to the fast-lapping sessions on the track, there are also several dedicated club track sessions, and a low-speed parade lap session at lunchtime for families with children under 17 who aren’t allowed out as passengers on the normal fast laps.

The day finishes at 4.45 – 5.00 pm with a grand parade of club display cars around the circuit.

Hi Chris

Your friend is welcome to come and park in the public car park. But unfortunately he won't be able to go on track. He could go in your Audi as an extra driver or passenger if he just wanted to experience the track. It is open to other V-A-G cars but not beyond that.
Ok, thanks for the reply.

Hi @Sandra,

I've just purchased track tickets for the day but I was unable to buy general admission tickets, is this is because it's too close to the event and so I will just have to pay on the gate?

Also like others here I didn't have the option of choosing Audi Sport as the club so I was wondering if I need to do something else to get on the club stand/area?

Thanks,

Ash

Hi Ash, you can purchase tickets on the gate. (It's is probably to late to purchase online as they wouldn't be able to guarantee deliver. ) When you done that ask to be directed to our club stand. You be very welcome Ash. :)

Looking forward to putting some more faces to names! (and sorry to anyone I met last year but can't remember their names, going back to uni wiped my memory of the past 12 months)

Is there any sort of time that the gates close for people entering? I'm hoping to get there for around half 9 if possible

So I won't be there in my S3 :'( :'(

Waiting for a recovery truck as I post! Hoping to get an S3 like for like.

With the car going in 3-4 weeks, I don't think I will be having it back... I'm in bits :'(

I've got a driveshaft banging badly :(

Sorry to hear this mate.

At least you can look forward to the RS3.

Crisis averted!!

Found a wheel bolt missing and all others loose on one wheel, absolutely no idea why but problem solved.

Easy to overthink things when it's been taken off me twice before for being unsafe haha.

I will be there bright and earlyish, I'll be the one with the camera round my neck  Looking forward to it.
