Ibis White B8 Audi S4 Black edition – MRC Stage 2

Apologies to the delayed reply @GarethS4, with Cerbera9, XP and @arad85 you have people who are more experienced than I am to comment on this issue.

However, I believe and after reading it on APR's website and other forums I believe the numbers you are getting from Supercharger pulley seem to be spot on.

If you decide to go for Crank Pulley along with map tweaks I am sure it will get you to where you need to be

US 91 RON = UK 95 RON, US 93 RON = UK 98 RON. The 100+ RON's are race fuel.... View attachment 134467
The US uses Anti-Knock Index (AKI) or (R+M)/2 instead of the RON rating used over in the UK

Anti-Knock Index (AKI) or (R+M)/2Edit
In most countries, including Australia, New Zealand and all of those in Europe,[citation needed] the "headline" octane rating shown on the pump is the RON, but in Canada, the United States, Brazil, and some other countries, the headline number is the average of the RON and the MON, called the Anti-Knock Index (AKI), and often written on pumps as (R+M)/2. It may also sometimes be called the Posted Octane Number (PON).

Was wet and windy but still pretty happy with the results. What sort of times have people run in the dry?

Best time I've got (with no tuning) is 13.97 also in the wind and rain at perranporth. How's the surface at Dakota? It's quite lumpy down Spitfire raceway

Revo stage 1+.Not run since going dual pulley.
6MT not DSG.Check out my MPH :)

XP so, we are saying that yours and @Cerbera9 ETs are pretty much the same and the only difference is in the top speed?

Identical times but different terminal speed

Could be down to lots of factors such as wheel/tyre size, wheel spin, reaction time, 60ft time, headwind etc

The surface at Dakota raceway, Smeatharpe is an old WW2 airfield and a mixture of patchy broken tar man and concrete, certainaly nothing like Santa Pod!

I have recently dyno'd the car and it ran 425bhp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno which was some 10% down on the 475ps it ran at MRC with no changes to the car except the addition of a second charge cooler. Needless to say I was a little disappointed so considered then going dual pulley with the car but the thought of they additional work, mapping and cost for very little gain I decided to leave it for the time being and see how the car performed on the 1/4mile.
I spent the day at the drag strip battling in class against a nice guy with a lovely S5 which was APR tuned dual pulley running 465bhp. It was very close and his best time was 12.41 @116mph.
The launch control didn't help in the wet as there was more wheel spin resulting in a slightly slower time. I would like to try again in the dry and see if I can improve a little on my time.

@Cerbera9 - why would you "go dual pulley"? You can max out the supercharger by increasing the size of your crank pulley - no need to touch the supercharger pulley.

I believe the max rpm for the supercharger is about 23500-24000 rpm, It would need a very large crank pulley or a dual pulley set up to get closer to the maximum charger rpm
I don't believe that the crank pulleys used by MRC or APR for that matter on their own would max out the supercharger as they would run a ratio of close to 3:1 and spin the charger to a maximum of approx. 21600.

The below chart is very useful for such calculations

Not updated my thread in a while but recent upgrades to the car so far this year include
Maxton Design front lip, there seem to be few options for the S4 without spending mega bucks.
The rear diffuser was sprayed satin black with a gloss black trim strip to compliment the window tints and other gloss black on the car.
H&R anti roll bars, I found these make a big difference to the handling and compliment the lowering springs and DRC.
I fancied a change so changed the four oval tail pipes for staggered round pipes with a rolled lip.
MercRacing HX, this replaces my twin cooler set up and is a nearer install.
Gloss black RS4 style honeycombe grill and fog light covers.
Pioneer 10” sub in rear parcel shelf with Pioneer digital and remote level control, this helps address the weak sub in the B&O system.
RS round gearknob with front button (disabled)
As the car is coming up 8yrs old and just passed 40k it had a few marks and stone chips esp on the front bumper so I’ve had the front and rear bumpers resprayed along with the bonnet and wings to freshen things up a bit.
Next up is to install a Meth injection system. I’ve used meth before so happy with installin this and there is loads of room under the scuttle panel. I’ll be using a basic Coolingmist system just for cooling purposes.

Why have you disabled the button on the shifter? It’s a simple mod to have the front button shifter fully working.

The gearknob I bought was second hand and although in very good condition the seller hand managed to lose one of the tiny springs that operate the button when that were resetting it. The remaining spring had been over stretched as well. I looked for replacements but these seemed impossible to find. So instead I just fixed the rod in the shaft in the lifted position and it works perfectly.

Just fitted some genuine Audi R8 GT 19” alloys 8.5J ET42 with 15mm spacers and Michelin PS4S’s 255 35 19

Nice alloys mate. Any pics with the alloys on the car.
