Afternoon,
I don't normally post on here but I need you help.
I have a audi a4 3.0tdi avant, i bought a brand new set of rs4 replica wheels back in december last year.
The company I bought them from have gone bust and now I'm stuck.
One of the wheels has got a hair line crack between on of the spokes, it would have been covered by warranty if the wheel company as still going.
Does anyone know where I can get another wheel?
Size is 19x8 j at 35.
Thanks again
Chris

if you used a credit card you are covered aswell as the buyer went under and its within 12 mnths of purchase, you should be able to claim you initial payment back as the retailer cannot refund you.

oh dear, you wont be getting far now....there are a lot of rs4 reps on the market but finding one that is a exact match may be problematic, quite a few companies make them but not all are exactly the same, some have very sutle differences in the pattern, I think you'll get one but I doubt you'll find a single new one.....if you go with used there is a very high chance of it having the same issues....the 19" rs4 copies seem to suffer from cracks a lot.

I know it's such a pain.
Even if I can find 2 wheels, i can put them both on the same side.
Even if anyone is selling them on here?

real shame as they look very nice, in a very nice color too....
I have been in the same situation chap and it is really annoying , I bought a set of 4 19" alloys only to find out they were all a bin job, couldn't find any more either, then looked on gumtree and found my current rims, but only 4 , I wanted a 5th for a spare so started to look for a single one to match, no chance , not a single one to be found that matched.
Then by just sheer luck saw two for sale on fleabay , and they didn't sell, made the guy an offer of £40 for the pair.
when I picked them up they were indetical to look at and immac cond, and then better still when I looked at all the stamps etc on the backside of the rims they were infact the same rims that I had.....now that was just a fluke, so all is not lost but you may have to search a bit to find one or a pair, either new or used....so all is not lost but more a question of how long will it take to find them.

Thank you very much for taking your times to help me
It's such a pain. Should have bought genuine wheels and via credit card.
Lesson learnt.
Martin1984 thanks for finding that wheel. Might just have to buy it and get it rs4 painted.

its not the same chap, quite a big difference to the outer rim profile also spoke profiles are different.

two pics chap, yours and the ebay one.
yours have a much larger chamfer almost to the edge of the rim, the ebay one is only half that, spoke profile is much better on yours than the ebay one which is much more basic shaped.
also look at the spoke pattern, yours spokes run prettywell parallel right upto the rim whereas the ebay ones are tapered and are narrower at the rim point...
Rs42 LI
R43 LI

you see, not as easy as people might think matching rims....
can I ask chap, where did you get them, I ask as a lot of alloy wheel trader fold up and restart under new trading names or trade under multiple trading names, I found this out from my own ground work a while back, it is possible that they are still in business but still trading under another company name.
I know for a fact that there are at least 4 alloy wheel trading companies on ebay that have multiple accounts with differing trading names etc and different details but a closer inspection shows they are in fact all the same company, maybe a route worth looking at.

and just to top it off, the centre profiles are different aswell, very noticible , yours is very graduated profile around the centre at the base of the spokes towards the centre cap whereas the ebay one has a very obvious edge around the centre at the base of the spokes.
Rs45
Rs465

I know what I would do chap, given the problems you may have getting a decent match either new or used and unless you are really, really lucky it wont be the same color either, as they are reps I would just bite the bullet and get a new set, there are lots around , by the time you have tracked one down or even two , then had them repainted etc you will be almost into new a set money, as you have one with a crack it maybe possible that any one or more of the remaining three may have faults...
I would get a new set and sell the others and recoupe as much as you can

Thanks mate. Yea I did notice the spokes are wider apart.
Cheers for taking your time to help.
I was chatting to my wife about it last night.
I have sent a letter to them basically saying they have breached the contract etc etc, see what happens. If not I think a new set is needed. Like you say just Rob it could take me ages to find a correct wheel that matches.
Just this time Chris pay on credit card lol.

I have found this wheel on eBay chaps. I think it's the same. Looks the same.
Need to make sure before I buy it, I'm going to get lepsons in Gillingham Kent to refurb it.

yep , I think that is a close as you'll get , It does need a serious refub make sure they check it carefully for fractures etc as it looks to have seen a fair bit of mother nature...

Couldn't agree more. Looks like it's been really badly refurbished and there has been some kind of acid base cleaner put of them.
The person who is selling said there is no fractures to the wheels just needs a refurb.
I'm going to offer him £60 then £70 for a refurb so £130 so bit better then £800-£900 for a new set of wheels lol.
Thanks again for your help.
