s3 2001- amk- won't pass emission test on mot. co is about 1.9 at idle, and 330 ppm hc. lambda is strangely enough at around 1.040
today i'd try to check for any fault codes, but i can't get connection to the ecm, however, abs/airbag are no problem.
as i can't get into the ecu, i'm afraid fixing the emission won't be an easy task.
I'm not a fan of the whole " drive hard and then get it tested" story, as i want to fix the problem, not bypassing it.
anyone who had the same issues? i've already checked the 3 fuse's and there fine, pulled of the maf sensor(then the co got to around 4.5)...
