just bought a set of brand new h+r springs for a bargain £50 to try even though I've read a few comments about the ride of them, I just thought I could try them and change to Bilstein if they're they bad but they're 45mm front 55mm rear I think and I'm wondering how much lower would they take my car which is already slightly lower being a 2010 s line avant, the rear has about 3-5 inches gap af the front has about 2 inches gap at the top so want to reduce this abit!
Any ideas how much more it would go on top of the current s line set up?

I had a set on my s4 and with 19's there wasn't much arch gap and speed bumps had to be taken with caution but I wouldn't say they are silly low

I do but I've only used photobucket in the past and I don't think it's working any more!

This is my s4 which I believe as standard has the same drop as the s-line it's the 40mm H&R kit front and rear

Tyres are 255/35/19

thanks chop, that looks a nice drop that.
from what im reading s lines are about 20-30 mm lower than standard suspension so a 45mm drop would take it about 15mm lower?
ive not bought the 20's yet for mine so im gonna lower it first and see how it looks with the 19s on first.
mine just looks massively high at the back though at moment!

Yeh the standard sline and s4 drop is rubbish, should look spot on with that drop will make the 19s look much better too

its actually got a fairly hard ride at the moment but seems to wallow like a boat on the bends so hopefully these springs tighten it all up.
not looking forward to fitting them with the pinch bolts, had the siezed issue on my old b6!!

i was looking at 20 inch rotors too but im gonna fit the springs first and see how it looks as 19's look just about right near the arches!

My coilovers were a pain to fit on my B8! Had to undo pretty much everything we found.
With just springs, you probs get away with spring compressors.
We undid the strut and nothing moved, stood on hub and it was still solid.

For the front Just leave the main pinch bolt and take out the ones on each arm closest to the engine instead worked a treat on mine

The rear I got away with just jacking it up a side at a time compressing the new spring and fitting it in place, spring compressors and a tyre lever job done

Yeah, my mate didn't have his compressors, lent them someone and never seen them since. Ended up going to his mate who has a unit with a ramp.

Cheers guys I did my b6 like that undoing the top arms on the inner joint on the front, looking forward to recievig them now but I'm going off a guys word they're the correct springs for the car, they're brand new red h&r with a part no I've searched and I'm getting mixed part no applications saying they fit my a4 but also some say a5?

I think a lot share parts. Think mine were listed for numerous vehicles
