Recently my clutch has been intermittently slipping on my A3 2.0tdi manual. Iv been told I need to have the clutch replaced which is fine but in looking through my service history iv came across work receipts that detail replacement clutch and fly wheel only 11000 miles ago although it was 2 year ago I would of expected a lot more miles from a clutch.
Has anyone had an issue like this or can anyone give me any give me any other possible idea to an issue that might be wrong here??????

Has the car been remapped since the clutch replacement?
Usually tends to put a lot more stress on components

Possibilities are that it was a cheap eBay special clutch that was fitted, in which case it's a surprise it even lasted 11,000 miles to be honest! Other possibility is that you or the previous owner have been riding the clutch and killed it in mega quick time or there is always the possibility the clutch as developed a fault.

I don't buy the car mapped being an issue with a new clutch as mentioned above. Unless running SILLY, SILLY power / torque a bit of a tune will not kill your clutch that quick, especially when people have had the OEM clutches last over 100,000 miles. Sure a remap will put a bit more strain on the clutch, but it's not going to reduce it's life to 1/10th that of a standard car.

Clutch and flywheel have just been removed and clutch is completely destroyed also ha a solid flywheel conversion which I believe and have been told that solids can eat through a clutch quite quick due to the extra torque, which is what dual mass
Is designed to cope with. Fingers crossed this is the only issue thts found
